cool, i got the four point cage already, want the dw coilovers with the camber adjustable top mounts, fit my front upper strut brace, mx5 parts do a front lower brace bar, and im making a rear lower brace bar. so hopefully, with some poly bushes aswell, she should be stiff enough!

what size wheels you guys run?

I'm running 14x6 with 185/60s or 15x7 with 195/50s. Offsets are about 35ish and I have 30mm of spacers all round.

I did have some 16x6.5 with 195/50s but I had serious arch fouling.

There have been people running up to 280bhp on standard internals. Gearbox's are good for about 400. Diff's and clutch's are the weak points.

she still got standard insides, and its got a four paddle clutch in it! when she goes bang, im gonna look into some uprated insides and hopefully push 300bhp one prob i have come across tho are brakes, there are no big brake upgrads without spending silly amounts of money!

I'd just go for 1.8i brakes with decent discs and some Axxis Ultimate pads. Maybe some braided hoses and a master cyclinder stopper if you don't have one already. Should be good enough for most fast road and track use.

It's basically a brace which stops the brake master cylinder from moving around when you push your brake pedal. So all of the force from your foot is turned into braking power rather than a certain amount of it being used to bend the bulkhead. Improves braking feel and response.

+ =299hp, 250ft/lb @ 0.9bar

A friend imported this a while ago. It was the fastest Roadster is Japan for nearly 4 years. The figures above were at the low boost setting (with the wheels spinning on the rollers!). No final maximum figure as all the little black boxes couldn't agree on how to run on high boost (1.2 bar). The guy doing the setup reckoned that with a proper ECU it could make over 350hp. Not sure of all the spec, but it has:
  • Air conditioning removed
  • TRUST turbine TD06
  • HKS metal connecting rods
  • 0.8mm metal gasket
  • Forged pistons for B6 turbo
  • Pistons were made specially as a one off by TODA racing
  • Fuel pump from Eunos Cosmo 20BT
  • Injectors from NA8 and additional Trust injectors - 700ccX2
  • Ported and polished head
  • Compression ratio 8.3:1
  • Big throttle Body - 60mm
  • Twin clutch made by OS Giken
  • Oil cooler
  • Inter cooler
  • Blow off valve
  • Apexi AFC
  • Apexi ITC
  • Trust rebic
  • Trust sub CPU profec B
  • Full titanium exhaust
Unfortunately it needs to be rebuilt after it bent the connecting rods. Bearing in mind this is a 1600, 265hp should be achievable for an 1800 with the right mods. A lot needs to be uprated if you want reliability though and 1600 brakes are probably a bit weak if you plan to drive hard.

very nice, interesting spec, as mine is she is only running 1/2 a bar of boost, and making 263bhp, so when it comes to a rebuilt some uprated insides and a bit more boost ill be happy. lucky for me it runs a emerld ecu

the master cylinder brace sounds like a good idea ill be buyin one when i pick her up!

cheers for all the info guys keep it coming!
