Gazelle's C33 Laurel Medalist

I've been drifting in a s13 for a while now but I'd been on the lookout for one of these for a few years.
I saw this on ebay a year ago but unfortunately missed the end of the auction !! I was gutted.
Six months past but then it came up for sale again (fate) so I snapped Sids arm off and bought the car.
Even better was the fact that it was the Medalist model which is pretty rare even in Japan.
Medalist as far as i know is the top of the range which came with an RB20DET as standard. This one was specced with an auto gearbox which will be going in the bin!
I stored the car up for five months and started collecting parts as and when I saw them. I want this to be on a budget but still keeping it 100% tyte.
Its time to get cracking now though as its been back on the road for a month.
Thought it was about time I sorted out a project thread so here it is.

This was what It looked like when i picked it up
Not only was it tyte as funk but it also came with most parts for the manual gearbox conversion which was a result

Is that bens old one?

They make really good drift cars. I won't be parting with mine for a long time....

Whilst it was in storage I thought I'd get started on a few bits and bobs whilst sourcing parts. The massive dent in the boot was first on the list to get sorted and do a general body spruce up

Finished It didnt turn out to bad

I've been accumulating alot of 2nd hand goodies for the Laurel of loads of cars dotted around the country in a bid to save some cashola!
First up to get fitted was the Tein superstreet coilovers with pillow ball topmounts. A good thing about the Laurel is that it shares the same suspension components as the s13 so parts are easy to come by.

Next up are some rose jointed adjustable tie rods

Looking and handling 110% better and feeling the shnizzzle when driving.
After giving the bodywork a spruce up and removing some unwanted bits of trim its looking shweet
