That's a 20 cover. not sure why it says 2500 on it. The RB25 one is black with silver writing. That one is identical to the 20 plaque, but with the extra number on it. Never seen one like that before, and it looks legit.

Think I've just realised what it is. Turbo'd RB25de from the R32 GTS25. It pretty much looks like a 20, has the same plenum and cam covers but obviously is a 2.5.

lol it's ok-was only being sarcy

Made some more progress today

BUT....in typical BEX fashion I forgot to take my camera-doh!

Went to GarageMac today and arrived to an engine-less R32

The ABS and Hicas was still plumbed in so J showed me where to start and I cracked on with removing the whole ABS system front to back and the same with the Hicas. Along the way removed more than enough skin from my knuckles to supply a skin graft lol. Both systems came out of the car drama free asides me nearly knocking myself out on the diff

Hicas lock bar J fitted as by this point my arms were slightly starved of blood circulation..

Fitted the stainless steering bush also today and I took the standard gearbox mount off ready for the new Poly mount. Removed the standard bonnet catch so that my oil cooler can be mounted behind my gtr grill, so will have to fit bonnet pins at some point this week.

Plans are that tomorrow the TEIN rods and ends are fitted along with more lock mod's, the solid steering rack bushes, the new hardcore springless clutch, along with the new engine and box going back in the car.

Wiring is going to be sorted Thursday ready for an evening fire up

Friday will be spent running in the clutch, doing the tracking and making sure everything runs smoothly and hassle free. (hopefully all of the above will go to plan)

Oh and the status of the old RB20 lump is..erm...it's fricked!

Seems like the #1 shell popped out one side of the engine and then the conrod kinda exited the other side so all in all it's pretty fubbared... Do it once and do it properly you say

Will look forward to pulling that apart to see just how mangled it is in there, then I might turn it into a table as suggested I'd need to find a way of sneaking it into the dishwasher though without mother finding out

Ooooh, damn, that sounds shagged! If it wasn't that bad, just the big end, or the crank, I'd suggest selling it to some madman who'd want to wang it in an E30 or something similar (can't think who'd want to try that?! )

Oh and no to the dishwasher, yes to a vat of cleaner fluid. Find one of those big blue plastic barrels and cut it in half, fill with cleaning fluids, and dip engine!

Good work though, give him more RELENTLESS AND JAFFA CAKES though, and don't forget to take the camera next time!

I'm not that stupid! I was coming up with a valid method of engine cleaning the lazy way though! (if you hadn't been joking, I'd like to meet your mum (poor woman) and see your dishwasher!)

Also forgot to add that the Tein Rods and ends are fitted. So loads of lock now (yes there is another secret mod )

Also have the solid metal steering rack bushes fitted so any donations towards new teeth when they all fall out would be greatly appreciated
