haha! the Desmosedici is pretty hardcore there are only 1500 right? The KTM RC8 is another one i've kept an eye on, but I want to hear/read some rider reports before it takes my attention away from the Daytona.

There is an 1098 S version as well isnt there, not sure what the difference is but I bet it costs a hellva lot more

DEAL! lol

My friend has just bought the RC8-and he's in love with it seriously dude I dribbled when I saw it-and I'm no KTM fan

Yeah it's the 1098S I'm after-the Tricolor [dribble dribble]

Shaaaat news chick, you can skid the pink taxi when it's done. Hope to see you've reconsidered soon.

Mr Uncle Chunkle baby-you're as much biker as me ... we even got matching metal knee's (ok you do win in the drama stakes though lol)

Thanks for offering the pink car for a skid-but it scares me already-and it's not growling yet I'd shite myself lol

I'll come skidding again when I'm rich lol

Never noticed that lol-but I agree...tis much sexual that machine-so much so I've had to correct a few spelling mistakes

Mind you it's not far off 20k so it ought to be savage lol.

I like the 3 stage brakes and acceleration settings...

Savage - setting 1
Stupid people only - setting 2
Those who wish to get reconstructed from numerous pieces of recycled tin cans - setting 3

And it's the same for the brakes-apparently it's hard work staying on the damn thing on the most responsive setting-it wants to catapult you off the front before you've even started moving

I'm only messing though I really like it esp in that retro tricolour finish, but i'm still firmly in love with the Daytona:

I'd want to get some experiance on a 600 type bike before I moved onto something like that 1098S, NC8 or a GSXR-1000, like you say it's the raw torque on their most aggressive settings which make them so exciting to ride.

How tall is your friend who rides the NC8 since i'm 6ft 3 and since i've started doing MMA i'm finding that there arn't many bikes i'm comfortable on?

They are nice-massivly improved over previous daytonas

I don't really know-I'd say roughly 5'10" ish-not as tall as you, but tbh I think you'll find all the sports bikes a little cramped-total opposite..i'm a short ass I look like a pea on a drum on a 400 let alone a 1000...but i'm only 22 so I may grow another inch! lol

Only bikes you'd probably really struggle with are the italian ones-stick to the jap stuff and you'll probably find them ok They tend to be a little wider-which makes them more user friendly

Best 600 i can recommend is the 636....i used to wheely at 140 with 1 hand...seriously such a good bike to experiment with and get your experiance on... forgiving enough to let you take the piss a little but also immensly quick for a 600. a little twitchy if it hasn't got a steering damper but again-good experiance. Also one of the cheaper bikes to buy because it's a kwack-and they rust when not garaged 24/7

yeah I agree, I wouldnt take a second look at any of the other daytonas, but that 675 is a bit special... in a good way

lol theres always a chance, i'm 22 as well and I grew about another inch between 20-21

636... so that would be the ZX-6R Ninja? I'll put it on the list for when the time comes

i'm knackered now, are you going to the BDC final in Llandow, might rekindle your interest

I'm not going to spend that amount of money on them until I know I have sorted the issue, as they are a little expensive to use while i'm having this problem... at £300 a pop i'd rather blow standard ones till i know this issue is sorted... then i'll put the splitfire ones in

Saw this at DWYB the other week and at Garage Mac afterwards, great skidding and even better to hear you're keeping it!

Look forward to seeing you on track again soon
