My r32 drift dump

Hello all, not been on here long and never been drifting (properly).

I have had a few skylines though, r32 gtst and r32 gts4, just picked up another gtst, mega cheap and ready to slide!! Ideally I will be stripping it bear, fitting a cage and some decent seats, some wide dished 18's and upping the power (alot).

The car came with Hks super drager exhaust, ebc drilled discs, red stuff pads, decat pipe, Rays 17's, blitz induction kit, turbo timer and a large front mount intercooler. So far I have dropped it on some budget coilovers, painted the Rays white, had it dynoed (249.7bhp), fitted a walbro pump, light weight wheel nuts and a strut brace, oh and whipped off the rear spoiler!

Any suggestions or comments more than welcome!

A bit more progress today. Got the dirty window tints off, stripped the inside out. Really not looking forward to getting the sound proofing up, any suggestions??

nice car, but a question. is the main hoop of the cage 3 pieces welded together? should it not be one piece only. not criticising or anythink just thinking in terms of safety surely them welds would act as a weak point in the event of a roll-over?

Looks good, though I would suggest not going too far with it until you've actually used the car on a practice day. Don't go buying all the fancy suspension etc etc, you'll just make it harder for yourself to start with.

Ideally yes should be one piece, but thats not a finished job. The corners by the weld have now been sandwiched with 6mm steel plate both sides to reinforce them, should be plenty safe now!

be carefull with those suspension arms , from the pics it looks like they are xs power or motoria ( or wat ever they called ) and they have the lil grease nipple on them. They dont last to long so just keep an eye on them

I have those arms, been fine but they need greasing regulary. I bought some rose joint boots from ebay and packed them with grease. Solved the greasing issue great!

Got a new afm now so the car actually runs again!

Got some new (second hand) wheels today, 8.5 and 9.5 x 18s. I think they look loads better than the 17s. I will be painting them white asap and sticking some new rubber on, going to be a stretch as the 255/35/18s are trying to rip the rear quarters off the car!! Going for 215/35/18s I think.
