another one of my projects !

got my shell a few weeks ago so i thought i should start a thread because iv been taking pics of all the work iv done to this one !
this is my old s13 :

was the first one i ever had, got a japspeed exaust, filter etc but because i didnt know much about these cars when i first got it i ran it into the ground !
when i finally decided to fix it i was told the shell was 2 rusty to bother trying to fix, so with the help of mick and ally i got my new shell from dunc !

when i got it it was pretty bare but had a few good extras, has 300zx brakes all round, lsd, walbro fuel pump and bigger filter and most of the interior has been stripped out

got it back to my house, thanks to ally trailoring it back here for me !
and the next day got it down to the garage to prep it for painting, so started poking holes in it to fid the rust !
bootlid didnt really have any rust but the holes were just filled so i wanted to weld them !

there was rust around the hole for the washer jet tho !

set about welding and filling the boot :

then atacked the rest of the car with the grinder !

after revealing all the rust, we got rid of the surface rust and filled over it, still need to weld the rear quarters and sills, and then started sanding the car down ready for primer !

thats all iv got for now but il update this again soon !

na gonna paint it primer gray then leave it like that until i can save up enough cash for a nice blue colour dont know what shade yet, was thinking either a sort of sky blue with white wheels or a sort of subaru metalic blue !

just a small update ! got paid last week so first thing i bought was a solid steering bush from driftworks ! was a bit of a pain to fit but didnt take too long because the engines out !

old rubber bush :

and nice and shiny metal bush :

most of the filler has been rubbed down, all thats left to do now is get the welding done then paint !

unfortunatley iv pissed most of my cash down the drain, and getting my own place this month, so probz next month before i can buy anymore goodies, but im sure il come up with something to do !

well finally got the car painted today !

i was working last night so didnt think any work would have been done to the car but i popped round the garage when i finished and my mate had finished the welding and primered the car, was a nice surprise to see it all one colour

then today we headed round at 9 and we sanded down all the primer, mixed up the paint to the colour i wanted then put 3 coats of it on, thanks to tinny steve for the paint !

it turned out exactly the way id hoped and i think the colour really suits the car, im off college tomorrow so im gonna go down and sand it all down to get it perfect !

sorry bout the crap pics get better ones tomorrow !
