| dorifto kingu! | Update
The cars been collecting dust for weeks now as had problems with the starlet turbo so been stressing with that lately. Got my friend Luke in today to seam weld the engine bay, wanted to tig it but the seam sealer that was tucked in between the seams was causing some carnage so we opted for the mig. Im very happy with it, will do the sills and rear struts etc when the engines in and running. Few fire issues but all good in the end.Back in tomorrow to prep bay for painting, black with metal flake not the pink my mrs thinks i should do lol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Finally got it in today, well mounted and tacked, taking it back out in the morning to weld it properly so all in all a good day! As for the paint i decided to leave out the flake and just paint the bay black, in fact ive changed my mind on the exterior paintwork too, all will be revealed soon! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by II Timmi II; 19-03-2009 at 23:03. |

Still need to take the engine out and weld the mounts for good but still spent 6 hours with it today. Seeing how things will sit, air filters and stuff. A few people have said my old SR20 fmic will be ok but im not so sure so any advice will be appreciated ![]() Made a custom gearbox brace using my old one and some steel, and even though ive been told i will need to get a custom prop made it fits perfect! Im feeling a lot more motivated now, its been a long winter and not much progress made till now so things are looking on the up! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Just bought an aluminium race rad for a good price, ive seen the same fitted in an R33 and their good radiators so hopefully have it plumbed up on saturday. Work in progress, opting out of the tubbed arches for now but my bosses bro is making a custom forced air feed for the air filters as im writing this chilling at home with a beer! It will look good if it all works out and be productive too! Ive requested a scoop to prevent water splashes, i will be back working on it friday |

| dorifto kingu! | Rammage air! ![]() ![]() ![]() Will weld up properly when the engines out again tomorrow or saturday. Also need to put a shield there but hopefully it should be ok, fingers crossed the rad turns up early tomorrow so can sort where that sits and get all the fabrication out the way ( for now! ) |

Badass mate! Good plans etc with this! You sticking with full interior etc for now? I think I would TBH, decent drivers bucket seat, and a slick black S14a with full leather and serious power, be mint.

Yea cheers man its been a headache like you told me and the worst (the electrics) is still to come! I did think about keeping the leather but tbh its shit, i can see why the whole lot only fetches £100 on ebay lol. You have to be a dwarf to be a comfy rear passenger in all 200s anyway and i had to get to the powercables and all the chav stereo kit under the carpet my mate installed. Im keeping the battery in the boot but i want to put a power cut-off in a sneaky place so its all stripped out inside. Will keep the dash and try cut the doorcards around the cage when it gets to that. 1 fixed seat, passenger seat will be on a rail, hydraulic handbrake and brake bias lever. cusco 2 way diff, full rose jointed alignment kit, struts.... the list will keep mounting but i want this to be a one off mental build. I already have the alignment kit and crazy diff so getting there slowly! |

Been a lot of maybe this or maybe that over the last two days deciding how to build the front of the car up but after leaving today im well happy with how things are looking. The stainless plate between the fmic and rad will eventually have louvers but will do a good job as it is with the two really powerfull spal sucking fans behind the rad. Thanks to forge for the silicon hose! Very good quality, i will be back for a few more bits in the weeks so things moving quickly now and it needs to! Took these before i left it today, bossmans getting his sunbeam ready for a rally next week. ![]() ![]() ![]() I do need 10mm spacers for the front wheels i think but will have a play with suspension and all once its rolling |

Surprising how well a fwd starlet turbo slides in the wet though lighting the wheels up and exiting the corners nicely ![]() Im hoping to snap up an old ovlov 360 or preferably an E30 325i but their both rare cars now | |
