You what I'd do, after having an XE in a Kadett C.... Don't do that. Parts are expensive and all the cheap engines are shagged. Use the Toyota 4AGE instead. Yeah it doesn't bolt straight in, but it'll work out cheaper in the long run, trust me.

Deffinately man, the bike carbs are the icing on the screaming petrol drinking cake! The XE is had in the Kadett was on R1 carbs, with Peter Lloyd exhaust manifold, and it didn't hang about, but I don't think my AE86 is much slower if at all.

Yep, just get the 4AGE engine and T50 gearbox, get the prop with it and mate it to the Chevette prop. Make some engine mounts, carb her up and give it beans ![]() You might blow the axle up though haha. I used a Manta axle on my yoke, but maybe an Escort one would be a cheaper alternative.

![]() Liking this a lot, then again i've got a Manta stashed away till after university for a project.. I'll shut up about that one XE it, and spend a bit of time rebuilding the engine first, if it's related to your course, it'll help you a lot!
