Well, earlier you guys saw an onboard vid, where I destroy my tranny. It turns out, it took my clutch as well...

Soo today afternoon I had some time finaly to get the engine and the tranny out of the car. Managed to do it in 4 hours alone, witch isnt so bad.

Then when I took the tranny of, I saw the horror:

The good spring:

The bad..:

1xx Hp, 110kg

While there is no engine in the car, Im going to do some welding, and make my front easily removable (the whole front of the car is going to be screwable), it should speed up the engine in/out process

For now, the old engine is going back. Still havent bought a few things for the twincam...

Also I bought a new polyurathene kit for the rear section, and new dogbones, witch will be strenghtened.

Thats it for now!

Love it, got a soft spot for Lada's anyway. Glad to see you've built it properly, sorted suspension and lot of bits that make it a proper little weapon.

Judging by the pics it slides pretty well Hope you get the beast back working soon

So, now that the engine is out, I decided to think further, and do the tunnel for my new engine. I need it to be a little bigger, cos the fiat engine will have 4-1 exhaust manifold, and it needs the space:

Also, found some rust... Well its a lada, things just dont change I guess.. Thank god, its not that bad, first when I saw it, I almost cried . But its fixable:

New parts:

Also, my rear spring tower is tyred from the more than double spring rate than the original:

I need a temporary fix, untill I have money for the coilovers I want... Those will need a big modification, so I just need a temporary fix untill that.

And finaly my new polycarbonat rear window (half the weight of the original), "almost fitted":

Thats it for now. Progress is slow, I have a lots of work, so I can only work at night, and on the weekends we are filming, check out our videos:

Xprovid Films.

Cheers!

Bought some rare rims, not for the racecar, but for a future "streetfighter" Lada 2101. Its going to get the suspension from the present car, and the old lada engine, but with full interrior, only one racing seat, and a steering wheel. No blinging, just the lowering and the rims, so its going to be kind of a sleeper. Well maybe not, with these rims...

About the rims, they are of a fiat simca, 13x6.5 et6.5. Not bad. And quite lightweight Im loving the oldschool design, the color is just a test, but its not the exact color I want:

PS-ed color:

Some more pics:

By the way, it begs for 175/50 tyres... These are /70, and they are way to tall...

Thats it, cheers

Some crappy pics taken with my cellphone:

First fitting (ducktape powa), I love it tbh! Gonna try to copy these with carbon, we'll see if we succeed... It would be more awesome in a carbon finish BTW: front ~50 wider, read ~60 wider Cant wait to fill in the arches

Yeah many people want it to be like a vfts, but there is way to much vfts here in Hungary, and its associated with rallying, so this should be something different!

Bogdan: its a Sachs clutch!
