Just want to ask did most people also strip the sound proofing just under the parcel shelf? also how do you get the main console off to get the carpet up :S
Also how do you take the airbags out? and the switch on the rear seats for the driver one ?

damn thats nice! looks like mine but at least its all one color! will be sweet to see it sideways
bang the bonnet really hard and the air bag will come out by them selfs
Student....?!?! What kinda Student are you lol
When I was a student the best I could do was a Mk1 Fiesta and a Vauxhall Nova (Dont laugh)
All joking aside, great looking car to start off with let alone carring on with the work. Was the rear bumper a complete lose or can it be repaired?
Look forward to seeing more.
Looks sweet man . What plans have you got for it exactly ??
Nice car dude, looks way better than you're last one.
I'll have to keep my eye out for ya at Oulton park
JDM Garage North
i removed the sound proofing under the parcel shelf... really annoying job... i still need to finish it actually.
main console should be just two screws inside the tray/box compartment, then take off the gear stick facia and another two screws there. (i think)
no idea about air bags... athough i think that abs module can be left in... and you can just disconect the airbag module inside the steering wheel? a quick search on the sxoc should reveal all though.
Nice car mate. With the airbig, what ever you do MAKE sure that you have disconnected the battery before trying to take them out. Start with pulling the gear stick surrounding and should see some screws. Have a look at my project thread as I had LOTS of fun with taking out the sound proofing.

Another load bashing away.. whats the best way to get the little bits left on? as i dont really want to use tar and glue near the ecu..
I found the best way to remove the little bits/glue was to soke an old tshirt in white spirit and place it over the section you want removed... leave it over night then remove and whipe with some clean rag/tshirt (using maybe a little more white spirit)
whilst that last pic is up... whats the copper cable for that is under the passanger seat? and the cable that is connected to the passanger seat, is this for heated seats?
Not that i know lol , the white ended one connects to the seatbelt.. (where it hooks up so i presume its something to do with the airbags even though it was unclipped anyway on either side) and the braided wire goes to my decat :S? presume its like another lambda?

ah that would make sense! nice one cheers
Im not up to the foot well and the centre console :-/ wandering weather to just leave it at this point as at the minute ive left the carpet in.. how far back does it actually go? might just leave it at this point what you guys recon? as for now i want the carpet left in really.. can i always take it out later even after i put a cage in?
Also whats the orange stuff on the edge of the sound proofing on the front? like a glue? should i also chisel this all out? or leave it
Ive used white spirit and petrol. Petrol works better and but its strong and gets you a little high lol. Its a little long leaving it over night, just use one of those kitchen green clothe thingys and petrol.
today finished it up on the floor.. im not taking the dash out yet so il leave it as it is for a while (just generally clean it up like the back)
What has everyone done about the holes in the shell? go straight to the ground lol? just fillered them from underneath?

It's just a spare fuse. Nothing to worry about, unless your fuse box is missing one! I don't know about Nissans specifically, but the fuse box lip usually has a guide to which size/rating of fuse (i.e. the number on the top) goes in which socket. Check to see that they're all present and correct. If so, keep the spare fuse somewhere handy just in case you need it, if not, replace as necessary.
ok thanks hazzles so basically it can fit in any port.. if needed
