Yes he is one hell of a driver Here is two pics of his car just so you can drool on sthing

I'l be waiting for the pics of the front suspension! Btw, your rear isnt mcpherson, its still an axle, but you have coilovers right? And watts link instead of the panhard. Did you notice any different from the panhard setup? I think my car is stiff enough that the suspension doesnt have to much movement, so It looked like watts isnt so nessesary.

But the front? I'm quite interrested. Did you really convert it to mcpherson? I dont know why people convert to mcphrson, you can adjust more things with A arm. Its easier to adjust a mcpherson though..

I'm planing to use the double A-arm suspension but with lots of mods. Only uniballs, and steel tube arms, with a lot of track widening Also for the rear I'm planing to put in the niva rear axle (140mm wider - 70mm on each side), and use double adjustable spax coilovers, equall lenght dogbones (with uniballs of course), and adjustable squat.

Btw your engine sounds F_CKIN awesome!! Love it! I spoke to a guy from new zealand, he put sr20 in his lada Still NA though. Also there is a russian(?) guy on the forum who is building a really nice, and brutal 2101.

So let us "lada" guys unite I'm quite happy to help you with anything if I can

ps: do you have power steering?
Cheers!

hi mancs... i saw your pics and i don't belive that your rear suspencion is to stiff that the panhard can;t move it.. i notice big imrove with dedion in my car... your rear axle going in to you brain when you drive ... yes my rear suspencion is still an anxle and not indepentnce for each wheel you are right...

But the front? I'm quite interrested. Did you really convert it to mcpherson? I dont know why people convert to mcphrson, you can adjust more things with A arm. Its easier to adjust a mcpherson though..

yes i really convert to macferson because is easier to more thing an you will see why in my pics...

try it i am waiting to tell my yours result... i used spax in rear suspecion in the past and the car was awsome... but with the old engine .. like yours.

thanks for your coments... i notice the red 2101.. i am looking forward to see in action...

All I can say is WOW

What steering rack are you using? And how much does it move? We also want to convert the steering rack, we bought one from an Opel Astra, it moves enough, but other cars like golf, escort they all moved to little.. Still we couldnt manage to incrise the steering angle, only a few degrees from factory.

I'll send you some photos of my rear suspension's movement, dont want to go offtopic here So check for your PM.

What spring rate's are you running? We are planning to use the typical corolla setup (8kg/6kg), cos the corolla is somewhat like the lada. But your car looks very good on the road, so I'm interrested

Also, dont you run stabiliser in the front? And the rear? Why not? It helped me a lot in the rear, and I could go back to softer springs now, giving more traction. Maybe with the new engine I will have enough power.

I have to say, after I saw your vid, a friend of mine just told me he has a spare lada engine,so I gathered up 3 guys to make a low cost 1.6 lada turbo also Just for fun. We will see how it runs though..

We are running electric power steering. Going to install a steering quickner as well, so the wheel will turn only 360°-360° in each direction I hope it works out.

Final question, are you planning to participate in the King of Europe Drift Series? Its going to be in Seres (Thessaloniki) on 26th & 27th september. I would love to meet you and your car!

Cheers

the hidravlic steerring rank was from alfaromeo gtv and its move was 2 1/4 lock to lock but i change it soon because i did't like it... now i use from fiat 131 michanical. with some changes naw is 4 turn lock to lock.. 1/2 turn more than the normal 131..my steernig wheel angle is bigger now than a bmw ..

front suspecion 600 lbs (not tha spring in photo) and rear 500lbs

also i run stabilazier and very hard but in the photo isn't pesruite to the car.
for rear is no usefull because my suspecion is too stiff

i hope i can aford to take part in the king of europe.... thesaloniki is farway from my home (6 hours with car ) and i can't spend so much money i am steel a student....
but i hope that i will... as your suspencion i don't have something to say... just try many thing and you will find the anwser...
