| need a few suggestions for project build
hi guys, i thought id put up a posts. im looking for advise on building a car. i have a guy here who is dropping me up his car. this guy is an absolute nutcase, its a 94 s14 silvia. the car has fairly big spec already but he wants me to build him a monster of an s14, he handed me 15k euro and said knock yourself out so i am free to do whatever i want. he wants me to leave body and wheels alone as their mint already! so litterally ill be spending the money on engine, gearbox, suspension, interior etc. im not sure where to start. i have a fair good idea about jap cars but i was thinking i better throw up something here as there is a lot of people on this that know a lot more! the only thing he wants in the car is garrett gt4088r dual ball bearing turbo, i can do whatever i want after that....... in sterling it would be close to 13k any suggestions? he is looking for 400+ atw here is the spec of the car that im starting off with roll cage aftermarket ecu ball bearing turbo z32 afm trust intercooler trust manifold trust oil cooler downpipe straight through exhaust external wastegate turbo timer hks induction kit uprated rad paddle clutch bucket seats tein coilovers tein extra lock kit 2way |

You tune an S14 like you would tune any other car body-mods, paint, drive-train, running-gear, engine finish. You would do well to split the mods into these sections, example: Body mods: Roll-cage, tub-arches...etc Paint: Fluorescent pink with lime green arch extensions...etc Drive train: Kaaz 2 way, Rb25 gearbox...etc Running gear: Dw suspension kit, K-sport brakes...etc Engine: HX40 turbo, top mount manifold...etc Engine wise it depends on how much power he wants, between 300-400 the SR should be ok. 350-500 you should consider the Rb25 since allot of people have done it now and you can get allot of advice. 1JZ is an option, but getting a suitable gearbox and the parts needed will be more difficult (not impossible) and the conversion requires more fabrication (i'm lead to believe). You obviously need to plan well ahead, if you want advice on parts, I suggest you give a call, they can pretty much supply all that you need. That's if your not actually 15 years old.
