    '91 Mazda RX7 FC3S turbo II - subtle mods

    Hi all,

This is not a drift car, but someone may want it on here, im selling my FC this summer, I havn't been able to drive it that much as its not being used as it should be as well as the fact that I am building a drag kart and basically moving away from road going modded cars etc.

Here are the specs of it:

    Year: 1991
    Milage: 89k miles
Spec: Standard UK spec turbo II
    Bodytype: Coupe
Compression: 7.2s on the front, 6.9s on the rear, even compression
Servicing: Serviced by myself since I had it, work carried out my Mazda main deals

    Spec list:

    Body

    OEM turbo II kit
    OEM turbo II splitter
Eibo sleek rear spoiler (only 1 in the country)
    Headlight vent
    Detangoed front indicators

    Interior

    Recovered red seats
E-manage ultimate - will have a safe base map on it (best to get it fully mapped for more power)
    STACK Wideband O2
    Apexi AVC-R boost controller
    Front and rear strut braces

    Brakes

Upgraded grooved Black diamon disks all round
Goodrich braided lines (fronts fitted, rears to be fitted brand new)
    Mintex pads

    Exhaust

3" custom bell mouth downpipe (only 1 in the world I think for an FC)
3" straigh through racing beat midbox
    Y piece 3" to 2x2.5"
Custom stubby rear cans with rotary friendly ceramic wool (doesn't melt)

    Engine

    Stock port series 5 engine
    ARC copy TMIC
    Custom thick racing radiator
    Magnacor racing HT leads
Air pump removed + blanking plates
Large twin horn BOV (fitted for extra flow when I was going with the TA45)
    Dual alt pulley
    Greddy compression tube
    Stock 550cc primaries
    Bosch 1680cc secondaries
    Aeroquip fittings
    Braided fuel lines
    Aeromotive FPR
    KG billet secondary rail
Modded primary rail to take AN fittings
    Parallel fuel setup
    Tomei 280 lph fuel pump
    RE-A filter (massive lol)
Currently running ORC 709 clutch - being swapped out for an Exedy stage 2 clutch
    Vac rack removed

    Turbo

    OEM S5 turbo
Upgraded to 360 degree thrust bearings
    Fully decoked and rebalanced
    Ported wastegate
    Uprated HKS actuator

    Drivetrain

    OEM stock

    Wheels

OEM FD rims (extra width, better grip but stock size)
20mm hubcentric spacer on the front (to allow rims to clear)

    Alarm

Cat 1 style - immobaliser, turbotimer, remote start, LCD colour fob, Code extry, proximity alarm etc

The car has had everything welded underneath, but front and rear sills have been welded by Mazda main dealer, it does have a few small dings and scratches but the car isn't new and this is to be expected, paintwork is good for the age though and there is no rust around the sunroof.

I am not looking for any part ex, just cash, I am looking for around £4.5k ono, a lot of car for not much money, very easy to simply bolt on a larger turbo to get some very good power, ive got all the supporting mods ready for big power, I am however selling the car before I have gone for big power.

The car ran a 14.2 at Santa pod a few years back when it was standard, with a slipping clutch and boost leak, the engine was around 210bhp at that point, its now probably closer to 300bhp (safe max on the OEM turbo)

I am looking to sell later in the summer, I need to swap out the clutch for an Exedy stage 2 to make it more streetable as it doesn't need a 700bhp ORC clutch anymore!

Here are some initial photos, I will get some more up later this week, but it won't be for sale until the clutch and base map are sorted and im happy that everything is in order. The photos below were taken at various stages of the build up, I will sort out some complete photos very soon.

Update on my car, its basically all ready for sale now, I have swapped the clutch over to an Exedy stage 2 clutch - streetable but grips and given it a quick clean.

21 year old paint is pretty good!

I will take some more photos over the weekend once it stops raining, this would be the perfect car for someone who is looking for some good power and wants a car to last rather, everything is solid and has all the supporting mods on the car to take a lot more power.

Make me an offer if you are interested

I have just taken some more photos of the car, it now has a good usable base map - plently of headroom for further tuning (running safely rich at the moment) and the clutch has been swapped to an Exedy stage 2 so its now ready for sale - let me know if you want any further details on the car, its all been sorted and it solid, just needs a new owner! I am happy to take offers on the car, it would be a perfect base for anyone to do tuning to as all the important parts such as the fueling and cooling are uprated and can easily be tuned with the e-manage ultimate - it can even tune itself with the use of the wideband O2.

Here are the 2 bits that need a tiny amount of attention, firstly a bit on the rear drivers side, seems 100% solid and has been there since I have had it without any issues.

Also a tiny bit of rust around where the OEM spoiler would have sat - ie under the spoiler mounts, they just need cleaning and touching up - cosmetic only but I want to be 100% honest with any bits that need touching up.

    Hi there,

Ive advertised it at £4,500, however im open to offers, its got a lot of uprated kit on it, the fueling alone is worth around a grand lol pm me if you are interested or want to make me an offer on it, I would rather it used than sitting on the drive.
