Yeah, i normalled kept it pinned and backed off when you hear valve bounce. Problem is, if you don`t what it sounds like you can just keep reving it!!!

It`ll stop though, it`ll reach a point where it just won`t spin any faster. Its should have a limiter but to give you an idea, sid hit 9600rpm once in his and still hadn`t found it and its the same engine etc.

Funny thing is it hasn `t done an engine when many cars would have died many times over. Good strong car that my boy.

Arrggh! Why does this keep on cropping back up! If I can get to DWYB I want a look at this thing. I finally have some money coming and I can't decide between one of the Volvo's that's up at the moment (as I loved mine) or an s13.

Goddamn it.

Why does this keep getting sold? It can't be that expensive to run, surely?

Its the distance I travel dude. Coupled with the fact that i've got an S13 as a toy, it just doesnt make sense spending moneys on petrol which should be going into my engine-less s13. Don't get me wrong, its a fooking brilliant car. Had a few hick-ups with her today due to my own error

I don't remember it being bad on fuel at all, its just not uber cheap, my standard 1.7 volvo usually used more!

Hmm its definately not great on fuel, I filled her up and drove similar distance as Griffo and the flashing orange light came on coming through the main entrance to Pod, that was taking it steady aswell. I suspect she needs a tune! Will get that sorted.

Basically I just need diesel economy at the moment so I can afford to do the work on my 13 I worked it out that Im getting less than 20mpg when driving steady and considerably less when throttling it.

OK mate, Im taking the engine out over the weekend to give the bay a good clean and then im going to get the carbs sorted. I noticed when revving the carbs from the engine bay, fuel gets squirted onto the chassis legs a fair bit from the trumpets - was it like that before?
