My Tuckin '99 MX-5 £2000

I am pretty much devastated to announce that my MX-5, is up for sale to make way for a new project which will be arriving with me pretty shortly.

So, the car - immaculately serviced, 1.6, 116bhp, Slippy Diff, , Safety Devices roll cage, KYB Hill climb gear suspension, Corbeau Pro Race bucket seat, air con fully deleted, awesome sounding intake / exhaust system (think forest stage rally car), strut bracing, new mohair roof, momo race steering wheel on 100mm hub spacer, and the rare Tuckin '99 arches, arches rolled to accept very wide low offset wheels, 48k mile engine, 19k mile gearbox, ARC Magic intake hardpipe, HKS air intake, new EBC Yellow stuff's, and Castrol SRF Brake fluid, Thatcham Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser; GPS verified BTG on the Nurburgring of 8:46 (and capable of much faster without a passenger and fitting a hard top). Obviously, the body isn't concours, its got some small dents, the paint has seen better days, but these are really trivial things to me, it's all about the chassis as far as I'm concerned!
I've just taxed it last night, and it's MOT ran out two days ago I just noticed, but all it will probably need is some new wipers. I have no time to do this, but I will knock £50 off the price for the MOT for the buyer. I'm confident nothing else needs replacing.

Then there is the 2 years of alignment development to create a car that is utterly stable, and truly controllable, you can grip drive, or drift all day long, or drive 500 miles without getting tired or wearing out your tyres.

Car will be sold without harness.
If you want to have it with the green wheels with the R888's, they will be an extra £350, possibly worth it if you want the car. The Panasports (which are ridiculously rare) will be £500 with T1-R tyres. Otherwise I will put standard 14" wheels on, so you can fit any wheels you see fit.

The price? £2000 no offers. This is a ridiculous bargain, and will make someone very very very happy.

Do you have pics of the cage fitted, can't see it in the pics!?

Also how much more room do the wider arches give for wheels over standard?

Cheers Topi

Tr1cky- The rear cage is all as fitted in the pictures except for the Karussell / Nurburgring picture, it's the twin hoop cage from Moss Spares here:

Moss Europe, Ltd - Classic Parts for Classic, MX-5, MGF, Mini, MGB

I run a 15x8.5 ET-5 Rear, on a 195.50.15 tyre with absolutely no rubbing whatsoever, even on maximum component travel, and obviously with the Tuckin arches, you could in theory cut the internals out, to go even more extreme very easily! Any more questions , just ask.

You can import them from Japan, your looking at about £700 for the set though once you've gone through import tax and all that jazz, I'll be buggered if I can find the link though...

It's now in this:

As the B pillar was restricting my 6.1" ass from heel and toeing properly, and I had to compromise, this way the seat sits right back, pretty much like a touring car - ridiculously comfortable!

Imagine an inch smaller, 3 inches thinner, and an offset so weak Kyle couldn't defend it. They're very very very light though!
