He's been to one norfolk practice day so a few of you may have seen it, the thing is a beast, really fast and if someon would just weld up the diff it could be a real weapon...

Ill start with the few bad bits, as with any 10 year old car it has a few battle wounds.

Firstly its done 152,000, but the car or the engine really doesn’t show it

Rear arches have started to let go, nothing a quick sand down and flash with paint wont sort, ive been meaning to do it but haven’t got around to it.

Theres rust on the tops of the doors and a few scabs on the bottom, common fault im told again totally fixable and barely noticable

The pads/shoes are squealing (new sets included in sale)

The ashtray doesn’t close properly (not an issue for me I don’t smoke

The rocker gaskets are leaking, replaced in January however will include a set of calibra rocker covers in the sale which were initially fitted 2 years ago, but due to the wrong part being sent by the parts people had to put the plastic ones back on out of desparation. Quite an easy job todo. (the car is still totally drivable, use it everyday!)

The headlight switch has lost its ball bearing so the interior light switch is sensitive, a minor point but im trying to be as honest as possible.

The aircon isn’t very chilly, may need a regas… but not sure


I have also just noticed a small oil leak, from around the sump, but i think this is to do with the rockers ---------------------------

THE GOOD BITS – I don’t want to sell this car, but a new job means I have to travel a lot further now and need a smaller car. This car is capable of over 35mpg on a run, and I often see averages around this mark, which for a 200bhp car is impressive.

Recaro leather interior – completely immaculate, has a small mark on the rear bench hardly noticeable, with the elite pack electric height adjustment, rare. CCR700 headunit – Top of the range unit with 6cd changer, Built in handsfree – just put your sim card in, uprated 6 speaker systems, (front speakers further upgraded a few weeks ago) and steering wheel controls

Trip computer – MID screen in perfect working order, no dead pixels perfect.

E/W E/S E/M E/Seat height adjustment

5 spd Manual box, perfect working order never missed a beat

Limited Slip rear diff, as fitted by Vauxhall, recently serviced

Courtenay Sport Lightened/Balanced flywheel

Magnecor 8mm HT leads

Courtenay sport panel filter, just rinses clean ☺

Superchips 220bhp chip (not fitted to the car at present but is a doddle to pop in) Ive found I get better economy with the standard chip (around 35mpg avg) but the chip makes a huge difference to the power and torque (dyno tests to prove)

Lowered/Uprated springs/shocks

HID xenon headlights, factory fit.

Detachable towbar

Climate control

Absolutely brilliant sounding engine – For 150,000 its not put a foot wrong, ive maintained it regularly, oil service every 4k plugs changed every other oil change, got a folder full of work that has been done, the timing belt was done last year at 132,000.

Has black painted MV6 17in alloys, very rare and desirable, in perfect condition(been offered £300 for these alone!) with 4 good tyres.

Im really sad to let it go, have considered breaking her for spares but she’s to good to split, im sure I would make more money on the wheels, the leather and the engine alone.
