    Frequently Asked Questions

Please read these before posting a question that is answered below

How many tyres do i need ?
Lots - rule of thumb as many as you can fit in car. There is nothing worse than being at drift day with a working car, empty track and no tyres

Where can i get tyres from ? Rent spare rims ?
    Contact Steve @ MINT TYRES

Where can i get pics of from ?
    Contact Ian @ Blackett Photography

Can my mates come out for passenger rides ?
    Yup

How much does it cost ?
    It costs £70 per driver

Can i pay on the day ?
    No.

Is it fully booked yet ?
Click here >> Santa Pod Ticket Shop if "Drift Voucher" is not listed is has sold out

Help it has sold out - what do i do ?
    Book for the next one

Doh it has sold out can i add my name to the reserve list please ?
No. There is no reserve list.

Help my car has died / i got arrested / my GF is expecting / i crashed so i cannot make it - what should i do ?
Phone the pod booking office to arrange to get a credit for a future DWYB

What will the weather be like ?
    Check - Weather Forecast

What happens if it rains ?
DWYB will run regardless - you will use less tyres and more petrol

I want to have a go at the EDC 08 track but not sure about it ? HELP!!!
Just ask one of the marshals who will hold back the queue and let you out for a few laps at your own pace

My car is ridiculously noisy what happens if i get told it is too loud to drift ?
You will be given a credit for another day

DWYBs keep selling out weeks in advance why don't Pod put on more dates ?
The number of noisy days has been agreed with the local council

I cannot be bothered to read the 1st post so i'm going to ask a question that has been covered in the 1st post. I need the post count !!
Its all about the seat time , not the post count !1!11!!1

    Do i need a welded diff / Fancy JDM 2-way ?
a diff that locks both wheels will help - however it is not vital for you to come along and have FUN

    Do I need lots of power/ Stage6.9chip/ SuperDuperHybridTurbo/ 2JZ
    Nope.

Hi Lex, I've sent an email to pod but no reply. Booked onto my first DWYB on the 15th, however on NYE my driving license jumped out of my wallet somewhere...will I be okay with just the paper counterpart or do I need to re-book for another day?

    Cheers

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

I would take your passport as photo ID, then you'll have proof your Driving License in the same name is actually yours.

My first drift day was at the pod today, First bit of skidding I've done. Started off in the morning just kept spinning out and by the end of the day was able to do three or four figure of eights. Well happy can't wait till i do another DWYB. Hopefully they fill in the pot holes

Pot holes have been there simce i started drifting about 18 months ago. They just get bigger on the main track. U learn to skid round them. All tho i did rip a tyre off a rim earlier today.

My first time at Pod today and thought it was awesome ! tonnes of seat time and ended with linking the bottom up tot the top big corner and round it.

Will most definitely be booking another day !
