I Would Say The best Game For Drifting and Practicing on is Forza Motorsport 3 And Live For Speed Proper Realistic Driving And Control Forza Motorsport 3 (XBOX360) Live For Speed (Computer) If u Trying to find somewhere to practice other than Streeto and Drift Days This is the best Choice
Thats true^ If of course you are talking about gran turismo 5 prologue with a G25 or G27 steering wheel I played and got good at it, got my first RWD car and went to my first DWYB recently, alot of people litterally wouldnt beleive it was my first time, all down to GT5. imo drifting in real life i EASIER than gt5, only because in the game you cant feel the weight of the car and have to learn/guess the wieght transfer etc edit: Real life takes more balls obviously, you dont have to pay when you wreck in a game
yeah man the best place to practice is on the fast and the furious arcade games you get to learn some immense car control
lmao. computer games, are just that, games! if you think your going to learn drifting through playing forza forget it, your not. get a real car, got out and skid it
If you go to Sega world (still exist?) theres a sick JDM tyte arcade game that is proper real cause its got force feedback an everyfin' like a real car. Sarcasm aside, its actually pretty good fun.
Totally agree on this one.. I play drift on Forza 3 a fair bit and it's automatically made me capable of 100mph backward entries onto any roundabout! Console games are by far the best way to practice drifting!
This guy has taken it to the next level, lol [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEtVSqQwBY0"]YouTube- chilicoke's custom GT5 cockpit + Momo on Logitech G25[/ame] some drifting [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR3ZnADWQU0"]YouTube- GT5 Prologue GT 350Z drift Suzuka East[/ame] not the best driver but you get the idea
I actually sold my car just so I could put a tv in every room linked to the same console so that I could imitate initiations by having my friend push me round on a pouf but still be able to see where I was driving. This has catagorically made me a better drifter.
If nothing else you learn wheel technique instead of fumbling around on your first time in a real car
Nope... even more nope if you use a pad like 90% of gamers... Verry few wheels give good feedback and fight against you when turning, if i could get my 530 sideways with 1 finger i would be a very happy bunny...
On my G25 i had to turn the force feedback down to feel more realistic, and to stop it chucking the table it was on all over the place
I wouldnt put myself in for such a flaming if i didnt have first hand experience, lol This is a vid at my first ever drift event (DWYB 25/8/10) in my first ever RWD car, i had owned it about 2 weeks. I went on the big track which i am told is good progress for a beginner :s edit: vid wont work, anyone know how to post vids off facebook?
