Not going to get involved in all the bullshit thats going down here but will clear a couple things up..

John.. There has been some confusion. I did speak to a lot of people that I know / people they put me in touch with on Lukes behalf. He has helped me a lot so wanted to repay the favour. I mentioned to you on the phone that he was looking to hire a car and IIRC you said you would of lent him one free as it was good advertising for your company but your car was in bits after loaning / renting it to another driver and you would get back to me about it. The car Luke mentioned that was very expensive was Andys SSDA car.

I'd lend him my car if it wasnt falling apart and was competitive without worrying. He was close to pulling off backwards entrys in it yesterday on his first ever go in it and didn't look like crashing once. Less sticky front tyres for me soon, loosen the front end up a bit and it might be possible but thats a different story...

Just a shame when someone wants to hire a car for cash (plenty of people in this business) and has a team willing to pay for any sturctural / cosmetic damage to the car in the competition that it turns into a bitchfest on here.

I thought the drift comunity pulled together to help each other when needed and didn't all jump to conclusions and be dicks about it.

Mate, it took about 5 pages before there was any mention of cash/damage repairs, all most people saw was someone asking for a car without offering anything back.

Id imagine if the first post had been "Hi, I need to borrow a car - Im prepared to pay up to £500 for the use of it and have £4000 in my back pocket in case anything breaks" the response would have been rather more positive

Why? No-one is denying that Fink can pedal with the best of them, I think everyone would be chuffed to see him compete as well (maybe not the other drivers in Drift Allstars actually) - I certainly would

I think whats grating a bit on people is that there are a lot of competition level drivers who cant compete due to lack of funds, and its a bit of a slap in the face for them for an Aussie guy to rock over here and ask for a free drive in a comp spec car. Some others (including me TBH) are also pointing out that a lot of moneys worth of damage could be done and its unlikely Luke will be carrying £4K of cash in his pocket to cover it there and then ...........

That said, fair play to Dan for stepping up to the plate, I have no doubt that if the car can be made ready it will be rocked fucking hard.

One thing I would ask though StonerJ - have you ever actually driven a drift car to back up that big ole mouth of yours? Have you even been to an event? Do you know what a troll is?
