    What introduced you to drifting?

Interested to get peoples stories on how they got into the drifting community and I'm guessing some drift some just follow it for the love of drifting?

I personally can't even remember how I found out about it, I bought an MGF many years ago and spent a day in the snow getting the arse out on public roads lol.

    Got hooked since then!

    What about you?

Owning e30's, s13's and r32's back in 2005 then realising the back end likes to come out and play.

6yrs later did my first skid day and got hooked

Dropping my R32 GTR off at Garage-D and seeing all their drift cars and wondering why they had so many, led to me getting my BMW and drifting.

May sound gay but ...... Need For Speed Underground 2 was the first game I experienced 'drifting' on (was also the first NFS I ever played many years go) then found DRIFTWORKS and realised drifting was a lot more than just in games

Seeing a mate transition from VWs to BMWs and experiencing the back step out when i was riding shotgun. After this i noticed i was only buying rwd cars on Gran Turismo 5 just so i could get my drift on haha so gave in and bought a bmw to take to Pod!

In 2006 my neighbor had a really cool KA-T S14.5, I had just gotten into cars, and after that the internet, Formula D, Initial D, and my love of cars sent my Drift-O-Meter through the roof!
I found LFS, got a wheel before I could drive, and drifted like crazy on there... I've been drifting since the day I got my license, so it's been about 5 years.

Used to work in a importers on lots of high performance stuff and used to get the rear out on a certain test route, nothing special. Then got properly introduced by a friend (Hammond) who took me out on track in the car I now 5yrs later own!

Sitting in my mates room smoking spliffs watching Initial-D 10years ago...
Turned in to watching videos online of Japanese drivers in cars like id never seen before
Then I bought a totally sorted R32 for £1000 before they were worth rape money
Spent fuck knows how many hours learning to skid on the streets before I knew driftworks even existed
Now I can't get enough, gave up my job to try and earn a living doing what I love, skids and cars

I went to a drift day up here with a mate while I was banned (~2007/2008). I was taking some pictures, thought it looked like a good laugh, bought my first S13 and I'm now on my 2nd and wishing it would just work to let me drift ¬_¬

My brother has always had big rwd cars and when few years ago while he was showing off he said "hold on watch this" we went sideways on sandybay roundabout and love it, never really went for it myself until now, although he had a v8 sierra
    RWD is the way forward

I started playing Initial D v1 and v2 at the game center. Then found out there was a cartoon, checked out. Hooked. Huge nerd, got obsessed.

    The rest is history.
I've always been a huge RX-7 nut though. My mom's long-term boyfriend had one back in the day, that I was totally crazy over. Naturally, I bought an FC, then an FD, and then 20 more FC's. Drift, crash, drift crash. So much fun.
