This is deffo worth a punt for a lot of decent drifters, esp as it hasnt been given much publicity so not a whole shitload of people will have signed up.

Imagine what exposure you'll give any of your sponsors advertising on your car. I am working at Pod the Trax weekend (as I do every year unfortunately). Otherwise for the sake of uploading a pic of myself and a few details it's worth getting signed up. Looking at the list there's no-one English signed up for the UK qualifier at Trax.

There needs to be a facebook campaign to get some UK Drifters signed up, otherwise everyone will be moaning when all the French drivers invade and get to race Ken and Travis on our home soil!

I don't give a shiz about the Olympics but it would be cool meet Ken Block and see some UK drivers have a go at this.

    COME ON PEEPS!

Unfortunately, we dont all have rthe same size wallet as Mr.Block. So i cant see an e36 325 doing so well against kens built for purpose 600bhp 4wd gymkhana fiesta, regardless of driving ability

Sort of, you sign up and turn up on the Saturday at Trax. You show your skills and if you are assessed as being in the top 16 RWD (if you're in a drift car) you go through to the qualifier on the Sunday. If you're top 16 4WD then you go through to the qualifier. The day is then a head to head knock out competition. Results in two winners who move on to the final at Santa Pod in October. So two from each Country, one RWD & one 4WD.

Then in the final there are 8 'Monster Energy' star athletes. You go head to head and whoever comes out number one in RWD goes up against Travis Pastrana, 4WD goes up against Ken Block.

So as you can see there's a lot more to it than turn up and schmoke Ken Block. You've got to be in it to win though...

Exactly this. Tell him to build a car on a £10k budget to compete with. Then it might be more realistic.
