God knows why but all the photos within this thread are now broken.

Ive cut the front off my car as it was bashed to fuck from a crash I had a while ago, so wanting to make a custom front to mount everything off, headlights, fmic etc etc, Ive looked at low brain drifters ps13 for some inspiration on how to go about doing it but want to see more pics.

Also wanted to make sure but is doing a custom front road legal?

    Cheers all.

Mine if it helps. Not quite as far as the lbd front but it's all remove able bars and the headlamps/rad bolt up to it

I welded two uprights to the rails and bolt the main front bar to those

That is awesome, fair amount of chopping.

Ive since found this which I think is more suited.

gives alot more room to remove larger engines through the top, also makes the bay alot more accessable to work on

Surely one of the main advantages is being able to unbolt the whole thing with The Rads/Intercooler/oilcooler all attached?

Oh ok - I know it looks nice, saves weight, can be replaced easier if damaged however for the work involved I dont see the benefits weighing up. However if the point is the remove the above mentioned in one go then I suppose that makes sense.

    Main reason is this,

The whole front panel was all soft and flexible after this so now I decided to cut it all out.

i can also imagine it adding strength to be fair, your replacing 0.6mm metal with about 1.5-2mm box section? that'll definately take more of a hit before it bends.. although in real world if you rear end another car or hit a wall, it aint gonna make much difference cus it'll always crumple somewhere.. just the nature of the game :)

but with all that said, top efforts mate, definately saved a car there :)
