Anyone on here that drifts a diesel? Any views on how they compare to a petrol for it as I'm looking at e46 330s and don't know which would be the better option, it'll be used for daily driving aswell

a diesel is no good choice at all. Most of em can't stand short drives (like you do in drift events), it takes "hours" to get them warm, high performance driving kills them anyway and the worst problem of them all is the very short rev band. Just as you get a nice angle where you need it - the power stops and the next gear will take seconds to give enough punch. There not made for this kind of driving. The only good thing about a diesel is the Turbo... you can have that on a petrol car as well. ;-)
