So I'm getting my brother's old mustang v6 for about 500. Just needs a new windshield and a new clasp for the hood. I'm not mechanically inclined nor do I know too much about cars, but I'm extremely excited to learn. It's going to be a daily driver for me until February when I can buy a newer DD. Then, I'm going to learn to drift in it. It has a makeshift frame on the front end since he tore up the front bumper. I drove a v8 foxbody until today when I decided to give up on it. It has too many problems and wasn't worth the money I've put into it. So I'm wondering what mods would be good to put on the V6? Maybe a lowering kit and a bucket seat, but anything else? I know the basics of double clutching so that shouldn't be too hard to learn.

Weld the diff, should skid fine.

So a locked diff? Not a limited slip?

Either will drift ok, but if you've got an open diff it's a good cheap option to weld it up.
