| ChickFoot FTW ![]() | mine's a stylish blue actually ![]() Yeah i've still got mine and its pissing me right off at the minute, i dont really feel i can comment on them in general as i think i kinda got a shitter (sorry stav/james) but lower in the revs i find it harder to drift than my old 1.7 340 but when it gets on boost its gone! Has everyone else's got power steering? i havent got PAS and find it so so hard to steer! Also, after now owning one, i do prefer the look of the S12 better to the S13 but i must admit i've only made life harder for myself by not getting the S13! |

I also found that when the boost kicked in i just span out, even when being very gentle on the throttle, to gentle and i lost the drift. thats why i sold it and went N/A. I found that going into a corner with very high revs was better as turbo on full chat, there was no suprise like when it kicked in. Lozza: if i were you, and i had an s12 now i would slam it hard, 200bhp it so the power is a bit more available so it spins up easy. I reckon that was my problem...... IMO

| From an 18yo's point of view, there's simply one reason for why something shitty like 340/360 instead of an S12: Insurance ![]() But since most of you are old people it's simple, they're more widely available, so any repairs needed, they're easy to find. |

No they don't. Shop around mate. And as for the guys saying the cars are gutless off boost compared to NA, well, you just can't compare turbo cars to NA cars. NA has the power right through the rev range, turboed cars have to wait for it to spool up. Leanr to drift a turbo car, keep the blades spinning ![]()

| lozza its a shame u got a non pas one, cos youve probably got 4.1 turns lock to lock rather than 2.9 and they nearly all came with a pas rack. i would try to get one out of a breaker should make your life a lot easier ![]() dunno about lack of power mine had plenty enough to drift when it had no engine mods(but was fully stripped). i was the guy in the white one at bovingdon, got a s13 now lol ![]() |

A. girl (does make a difference, even if its only £200) B. age, you are now 20, and it was when you were 20, WITH NCB that you got the S12. I've got one years claim free driving, not NCB, and they still try to charge me about £1500 for a slightly modded S12, and I'm in the second best post code, and as you know, I'm 20. So paying between £1500 and £2000 (he's 18 remember) insurance on a car worth £400 tops (most S12's) seems ineconomical to me...

| gripper | Don't see what the problem is, mines a daily driver as I don't have access to a track nearby or anywere legal were the cops won't bother me to practise. Got a mountain pass a few miles away, good touge run but i ain't keen incase I fly off the side!!! ![]() Yes I was inspired by the orange driftworks colour, figured it would look better than red or blue just a bugger finding parts, planning an intercooler next and crank up the boost and set it on some 15in Rota RB's. Strut brace works as does the spoiler, noticed yesterday I have greater grip at the rear as compared to the other day when the back wanted to slip out on a tight backroad between were I live to another town. Lol nice to know I can out turn the euro tuners who are common about were I live, I prefer performance to looks, you don't need power to be fast down-hill, grip counts.![]() ![]() I'm 21, got 2 years NCB and i'm paying roughly £900 a year for my s12, breakdown cover for £135 a year to......you never know but it's better to be safe. A 200bhp n/a 2litre vs 200bhp turbo 2litre is much the same. And once you go bigger bhp per litre the powerband of the n/a gets even smaller, as does the torque, though response MAY improve if you at the right revs. People talk about n/a cars with serious rose tinted specs, like they driving big V8s or something and comparing them to 2litre turbos of the same power... | |

| I think s12's rock, and for what they are (1.8 turbo sports car) the insurance isnt to bad. which is probs coz they only have like 135-140 standard, but cant easily up that as said above. Also there different which is also a bonus. |
