I actually tapped another wire into the base and earthed it elsewhere when I had an issue, didnt solve it though. Might be a better idea, if indeed that is the answer.

One thing for sure is that its always a simple problem...

I love S12s, thay handle better than s13 standerd, and thay are so esay to tune. but you cant get so many bolt on bits as you can get for a s13 etc......

If your just staring drifting i would recomend a s12 any day with a mig diff and boost up. Then crash it and buy a s13

P.S. I have a white s12 for sale £100, Pm me if intrested.........

rust free 316 tourer with t&t - £240.

325sport engine, box, prop etc - £200.

Mechanic that works for tea and cigarettes to fit it - priceless.

325i for £440.

another one for the s12 here, they rock, the engines are stupidly easy to work on and parts are easy once you realise that most s13 engine parts will fit. I've done a head gasket on an s12 in well under 2 hours

sad i know dragging this topic back up

Who on is still using an S12 now?

I had the 2 that was sold to KMS RACING. I found that the suspension was a nightmare and not many upgrades for them. Plus i found it didnt like to rev hard/high.

Lozza has one doesnt she?

Yep, I remember you mate

In honesty my S13 is faaaaaaaaar better than the S12, but it has cost me about 20 times as much, so its hardly suprising. I still say as cheap as chips fcuk about cars they are just as good as the alternatives

FIRST RULE:

Do not spend a lot of money on an S12. You can spend a lot of money on an S12 and get the same result with half that spent on an S13

believe it or not the volvo 340's wiegh less in standard trim than a 306 dturbo
also having had a go in a clio engined volvo i think they go out very well and once you learn to tame them they step your chances up of being better at drifting
i own a ca engined s13 and its shit but i like it and i like drifitng it
thought about an s12 didnt like it and brown interior was a real put off aswell

Errrr - no it isnt. Funnily enougg, Im faaaar better in a 300+hp coilovered, 2 wayed S13 than I was in a 200hp S12 on cut springs and a welder. I just checked in the mirror and Im definitely the same bloke
