Lol, well ive had more diesel cars than i have had petrol so it was only a matter of time before i started getting them sideways. i started sliding in my seat toledo (1.9d) around 3-4 years ago get the speed up through a corner or round about in the damp lift off and hey presto power it up keep on the e brake a lil and it would sit out. My first rwd car was a bmw 2.0 e36. i pulled the diff and welded it right away great fun, the 2.0 straight six is 149-150 brake depending on the engine code. and the 325tds is 143 (not td only 115bhp) so not alot of difference really. then if you start to tweek it in the manor my range has been i dont see why u wont get 180-200 bhp. And still get 35-40 to the gallon on the way home..

Sierra 1.8TD goes well enough, Isuzu Trooper 2.8TD is awesome for a diesel part time 4x4

Phaeton V10TDi is awesome, Converted to RWD would skid with the best of them. just a shame I cant afford one.

I started this thread in January with the then intention of buying a Diesel BMW, but I sucked it up and bought a petrol Toyota

So far it seems there's more people who want to talk about hanging it out in their sprinter work vans! Nice

a diesel will produce a lot more torque than a petrol will. mines around 300lbs of torque.
its bhp that will give you a good top speed and torque is the seat pinning feel, and what is needed to break the rear wheels free.
my bmw diesel is sweet for drifting.
