| Mr. Bizzle - waging a 1-man campaign against the CA18 engine ![]() I dont know of any other 1.8l engine that could even entertain the thought of 300bhp without serious internal engine work. SRs may be 'better' - but not when I can blow up and replace my CA THREE TIMES for the price of one SR they're not ![]() |

This is on twin T28's. They will run around 330hp each max so plans are to see how far they can be pushed before changing....Although i think thats plenty of power anyway! | |

| the SR wouldnt be as bad if it didnt sound so shit. the CA is a brilliant engine, and no less reliable than anything else of its size, it can take nearly 400 bhp without being cracked open too, i think bigtone from sxoc is testement to its quality. ive killed 3 and would still have it over an SR any day. after all. what engine is the RB based on |

| why? I managed fine and I competed at UKD1,D1GB and EDC with a CA and T28 tubby (mostly a second hand GTI-R turbo) - yes I was outpowered and it may have been deemed laggy but managed to enjoy myself and get good results with often less than 300bhp. Just rev it It blew up once in 3 years of drifting, autotests and rallies, that's not bad going is it? |

| team yer maw ![]() | As creative as, say, posting CA'S ARE SHIT CA'S RAPED KYLE_GTR'S MUM CA'S WILL KNEECAP YOUR WHOLE FAMILY CA'S WILL GIVE YOU AIDS, SARS AND UNWANTED PREGNANCIES RA RA RA I HATE CA'S AND I KNOW BEST on every single thread that mentions a CA? It's like a broken record, I think 90% of the northern hemisphere is quite aware you don't like them by now. Last edited by sambo : 24-04-2008 at 23:22. |

| -NightWalkers- | They may not be the best engines in the world....but they're cheap, very cheap!! And with the normal "you get what you pay for"..tbh a CA is pretty good value for money, if you blow it up you know you can afford to replace it within a weekend, you blow up something like an RB etc and it's a little more damaging to your wallet and schedule. |
