nope, and have nearly 5k posts on sxoc so ive seen basically everything that goes wrong with the s13 go through that site and never have i heard that before. i can only see the relation being that when someone has welded there diff they are generally going to drive like a loon so the BEs will eventually fail, but thats nothing to do with the diff, just the driver. either that or ive just fallen for a sarky joke lol ![]()

I am also hessitant to make my car difftastic. However I'm not so worried by the danger of it as I am with the suposed understeer that will occur in the dry - my car's got load of underst as it is - is the welder going to make it unsteerable ?

| spl dori master | dont weld it ...... it will cause untold trouble ,it will turn you into a chav ,it will curse ur car and kill every one that goes in your car , if you have a ca18 powered s13 it WILL make your big ends rattle and not to mention that its a life sentence if you get caught on the road with one welded diffs are bad dont do it![]() |

My welder is declared to the insurance company, they certainly have no problems with it. Oyama - won't know till you try it! I know you're kidding around kms_racing, but chavs with welded diffs? Doesn't seem particularly chav tastic to me tbh, last chav that saw me with mine went 'he's got a flattie, ooooooooh' so yelled back 'you silly twat, I've got a welded diff' when he heard me turn a tight corner at about 5mph.

Lol at papercutout. Theres no escaping the noise of the diff. your passengers will hate it, probably. my girlfriend refused to go in the car because of the noise the diff made. and partly cos it was on the hardest suspension settings. So in summary... Welded Diff's, Misunderstood by all, Hated by many, Useful to a few.

You're the mechanik, get a haynes manual of lies and fix it (change the headgasket, polish the head and hope you've not damaged the internals)(considering I know naff all, I'm good at blagging this aren't I?) *iamben - thats one of the most sigworthy things I've seen, so I've put it to good use *Last edited by Papercutout : 28-04-2008 at 18:53.
