Satin black looks better, but both my matt black E30 and my satin MX5 get followed by the police because it looks suspicious (I'm not sure writing "pigs" down the side of the E30 was a smart move either).
Both were painted because the existing paint was rubbish (25% pink filler on the E30, yellow/white/green on the Mazda).

I 99% agree with you. If you have an s14\14a which paint is good or even alright Don't do it.

But if you paid frick all for the car and it's battered and well used. Then it's a good way of hiding battle scars and very easy to paint.

i did my s14 because some flange destroyed the side of it. matte black is gay on s13's and s14's, i know, i had one and im gay. matte black should be reserved for ratty us muscle cars only

well thats really the main issue with why im thinking of doin it, rear end damage witch we puuled out a bit n now has sum daewoo racing green
along with a lorryy stuck to the drivers side also has sum more of that luverly daewoo green and on sat night someone decided to reverse into my car

gota mate who painted his bike sv650 in satin black n thought it looked the nuts

To achieve full matt black evilness, i'll take pictures of mine at night. Next to a metallic or satined car, the matt black stands out far better.
