| No mate, Castle Combe don't do drift days mainly down to noise I believe. Its also not a track for learners, as are any other tracks. You should check out the DWYB days at Santa Pod or the TDSW events which look very good value for money. You wont be able to learn on a track as you need to learn throttle control first using cones, fig 8s,etc. You can skid at some of the Castle Combe / Silverstone show track days but again its not something a beginner would manage to do safetly apart from a bit of oversteer or whatever. |

From your want of a 4" exhaust, induction kit and a dump valve complete with that oh-so cool compression surge, I can only assume you want to learn how to drift so that you can impress your Corsa owning mates in a McDonald's car park, which is the very worst reason to get into this sport If you're serious about learning, I'd suggest you Weld your diff, stop spending your money on Barry tat and get any thoughts of going sideways on public streets out of your head. By doing so you're going to save yourself Time, money and probably your license. Last edited by Joshy : 04-05-2008 at 17:02. | |

| I have to say that TDSW is the badger nadgers Pod is also good although I have only been once I would say that TDSW would be cheaper for you, closer and less entry fee PS I have a bucket load of spare S13 wheels I need to get shot of if you need any |

| You poo face | cr33ch actually live right by you, think i actually saw ur car today lol. my advise like everyone elses is to get out of bristol if you want to practise. castle combe is a 15-20min drive just go through pucklechurch and the countryside and it takes no time at all. I advise you go to japfest and talk to some of the guys there. but as said above trampdrift would be great and santa pod would be even better. it really doesnt take that long to get there either, and you will meet some awsome people. police here have been been on form recently, and i swear there are alot more about... especially in those bimmer estates. if you want to toss about go down the road to longwell green. but you wont last long there. and ull look at twat with all the chavs. drifting isnt mainly down the to driver. save some money on parts and spend it on practising. if you get good you wont have to spend so much on parts because u will be able to get sponsors and help contribute towards your interest. im sure you know how much street racing goes on on the ring road by you, and im sure youve seen the amount of crashes that happen there. if you are doing this as a bit of fun to piss about in a look cool, you are in wrong place. take the advise of people here... coz majority of them know what they are talking about! ![]() |

| Though some of the people on the forum are quite plesent to neebies i have already found a large few arent. Ive never driven a car to impress people i drive to make myself happy and by adding my own modifications to make the experience more pleasurable i will do so! All im asking is for some sugestions on how i can learn as i dont feel quite experienced enough to be on a track with other cars that i could hit into, perhaps if you werent so quick to make assumptions and criticise people and instead were more willing to help and make sugestions we could all get along that much better. This has made me feel quite low of some of the driftworks team an i shalt be asking for more advice if this is the way ill be treated. thanks for the time u took replying but i'd rather you didnt in the future as if i wanted to hear critisism i'd go hang around at a mc donalds car park instead. | Cr33ch, chill dude. Everyone gets a beasting to start with, especially if they mention streeto or become involved in discussing it. Everyone I drift with hates dump valves, they think the money is better spent on welded diffs. I love em, take no notice. as with the other mods, do it if it makes you feel better. personally I'd get some seat time with what you have, when it breaks, replace it. But that's my opinion, and I know bugger all about cars or drifting. I do run tdsw with Mike though, (Steer from the rear) And I expect to see you at the next one, dump valve included. When you've been sideways all day, and you come home to see vids and pics online of you and your fancy exhaust, you'll be hooked, and you'll be on here laughing at all this. Taking the piss out of the noobs, sitting back planning your next event. And rebuilding your bottom end, if you have as much luck as me. Welcome aboard noob. |
