^ wont do anything.

Targetting the wrong people, its the goverment tax that makes it expensive not the petrol stations themselves

But we'll still need to buy it, so they can charge what they like. Petitions get ignored. Blockades don't make any difference. Plus the stuff is running out and we have expensive wars to fund.

The only way to win this is to stop using petrol/diesel. If you are dependant on it then you have to pay what they ask.

People whine about how about how much money Shell and BP made last year, but I think you get a good deal on the price of fuel, considering its not much more expensive than bottled water, even though its been drilled out of a deep hole, sent half way around the world, refined etc.

I don't agree with how much money the government make in tax on it, since your are mostly paying tax when you fill up.

Ghandi had the right idea 'passive resistance'. If everybody in the country refused to work a full working week, and instead worked on 3 working days a week, watch the economy crumble, the country would be buggered in days, stock market would fall, foreign investment would pull money out the country and the government would have to back down.

A few sweaty truckers outside a fuel depot won't change anything really.

Its not hard to start a revolution, just needs enough people to start it...

If all the insurance workers, bankers, call centre bods, estate agents, lawyers, DVLA, garage mechanics, independant financial advisors, builders, hairdressers, accountants and sales reps all refused to come to work for the next month the only thing that would change is daytime TV viewing figures.

And all those bastards are using up my fuel commuting.

BP and Shell have annouced profits today of £7.2bn over the last three months.

The government also rake in 70p of every £1 spent on petrol.

That is a joke.
