Teesside - The ban is lifted! - 18th May

Well first of all let me say hello to everyone. Sorry I havn't been on here for a while. The date for the next practice session will be on Sunday 18th May from 6pm onwards. The price will be £50 per car and I will decide closer to the time (judging by the response this post gets) as to which track/tracks to use.

Just to let you all know from me the reason for stopping the practices for a while was to let the track recover after a very wet winter and to also keep the council happy with the noise. Just yesterday we were dong a corporate day with our cars (2 minis, Elise and MX5) none of them over 90Dba on a static noise test. At lunch I took 1 person out in the MX5 for 3 laps, stuck it sideways a bit and a few hours later I found we had recieved a noise complaint.

As a result of the recent complaints there will be a stickly enforced noise limit of 101dba with your car at 4000revs from 1m and 45degrees from exhaust. There will also be a limit to the number of cars on the track.

Hopefully the weather will be better than recent weeks and you can all try a bit harder at keeping the cars on the black stuff. Cones will be placed just off the exits of corners as deliberate dirt dropping is not allowed.

Passengers are allowed in cars with a full harness in both drivers and passenger seats. Helmets must be worn at all times and will not be available for hire from the circuit.

We could always hook your hossie bed up to the back of one of the cars to get you there

That way you get to drift the hospital bed round every roundabout on the way

no noise problems for me (apart from my screaming as i hurtle backwards towards the tire wall) as apparantly i had the quietest car on the track on march 2nd

Bugger, im up at fricking knockhill. Anyway for the one after this one, west track please.

Will it be how it was at NYE practise where it was an open track or like how it was run for BDC licensing when you got a few corners?
