lol dude, the last bit is well wrong, alot of people skip the shit car as its to much effort to skid and just buy something done and alot more drift ready lol

start simple, dont worry about whats best, just by something front engined and rwd, then go have fun, SEAT TIME is the only thing that matters!!!

S-body till i die!!!
s13, very easy to learn in, loads of basic things you can do to improve the car, moderate starting power imo...there are lads in EDC using them too (slightyly tunde though )...
BMW = shit hot drivers (or so it would seem!)...theres a lad in EDC using one too...(big up MJG!!!)

so really it is down to personal preferance, I love skidding s13s see where we're coming from?

i've tried loads of different RWD cars and each had their own + - points ...

Ford Crapi 2.8 - FAIL...too damn heavy
Sierra Xr4i - nice low end grunt but car felt heavy and ate engine mounts
Sierra Rs Cosworth - nice to drift but was worried about repair bill all the time
Mk3/4 supras - nice smooth power delivery on NA's made it nice and predictable but mk4 would sometimes snap back when straigtening up and give you brown trouser moments
Skyline GTS-T - cheaters drift car ( awaits abuse haha ) almost too easy to drift with the RB power, almost bomb proof engines, Hicas + fuel costs is probs the only gripe with this one.
S13 - my fave drifter so far , quite predictable , decent running costs , cheap parts + tuning and easy to get good bhp/ton figures on little ££. People complain alot about reliability of the CA engines tho.
I think you should try different cars until you find one that "feels right" when you're driving and not go for what people reccomend.
