| doughnutter | newbie... wheels to use at practice day?? hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question but.. i've not long had a rwd car, and am a little unsure on wheels/tyres to use at a practice drift day. at the moment i have 215 45r17 all around, any advice on what i should use for a practice day? tyres and wheel size? thanks in advance |

| what ever you can lay your hands on really, the size you have will be fine but remember the wider you go means more grip which means you need more speed,balls and skill ![]() pressuming you have an rs200 that is still na and running standardish powers and you are a beginer then 205-225 would prob be best Last edited by robbs : 24-06-2008 at 08:44. |

| First day ... any tyres you can get your hands on, pumped up to 50psi. 205 will be just fine You are likely to scrub your front tyres as you'll probably understeer a bit, so keep an eye on those too. |

| That is not always the case. Don't ask me to explain the physics (because I can't) but after a certain width you start to loose traction again. Confusing really and doesn't really affect tyres for road cars since they don't go wide enough. So that's another complete waste of a perfectly good post! |
