s14 all the way

i work for bmw and have driven a fair few e36 m3's
and in regards to buying a e36 m3 for a good one you will need £6000+ unless you buy one that has been px'ed into a main dealer and my 25% discount........

You wanna tell that to Ren Juanjo, 20vWill, and all the others who've spent £3k-4k then sold off all the gay bits for rape.

Thats right, all those items are an accessory that come with the M3! The main item you must buy when you purchase an M3 is this:

....................
Whatever you decide it's your choice, but since recently everybody wants something different for unknown reason, how about you get an E36 and make it like this:

meh, my £2500 m3 has needed very little mechanical stuff over the last years drifting. just treat it nicely and it'll treat you nice back. at the end of the day its personal choice.

Just ratchet strap your gixxers together Mark and use them as one big, screaming, wheelie-ing drift machine.

Failing that buy Wills M3, as I can vouch for it being pretty damn sweet for the money and its more of a rewarding drivers car than an S14.
