Just wondering: Why do R32's seem more a more popular skid choice to the R33?

Just curious really. They look a bit bigger, heavier? Are the parts more expensive? Engine less reliable?

Cos they are cheap

33s are percieved to be a bit barge like

really there is not much to seperate a well set up 32 or 33 for skidding fun

at top level competion the lighter 32 chassis can be a benifit

r32 are cheaper and lighter so more around but in general they are not less popular. The engines are better in the r33 (2.5 instead of 2.0l) and from what I can see there is actually more support for r33 mods than r32 although may be wrong. The 32 does share loads of bits with the s13 though so thats handy. I'm not sure if the 33 shares anything with the s14?
I must admit I have avoided the r33 due to the size but now I've been driving a skyline and seen more r33's I'd certainly consider one now. I'd like to get a rb25 in my r32

r33s all the way....the rb25 pisses on the rb20. not just the engine but the box too...

also, people seem to bum r32's and say they look better, but a 33 done the right way looks shit hot

R33s are big ugly barges, R32s are slimline fighterjets.

there's not that much difference-if this was the main factor everyone would have 33's... they're everywhere and don't hold money

Que the R32 vs R33 debate

It's personal choice... due to all factors mentioned. Both are good to skid-they are both rwd

i did want a 4 door drifter such as mark ceff as we've both gone from our mercs ot the next step but seeing as marcus got there first i cant fidn one or any 4 door for good money.

Found an excellent stock 32 for £1500 with 70k miles but decided to spend a bit more and get a 33 as they are only 40kgs heavier than a ceffy and mine has 330bhp.

ill list the spec if you guys wanna see

im hoping ive made a good move.

Personaly i think its cause the 33 is the ugliest car ever to grace the drifting world, thats why people buy 32's over 33's.

It doesn't take much to get a 32 looking purrrrrdy, it takes a lot more to get a 33 looking half as good. The 33 lends itself to a certain theme of styling but everyones too wrapped up in being tyte yo' to bother to build a goodun.

Apex are halfway there.
