Buckets for a fatso in a small car

I've recently been trying to find some buckets to fit in my mx5, and all the ones that i have found that fits, i don't fit in. Every single Sparco except their XL Fatass seat which don't fit my car and could hold me and a midget or two.
I'm shortish (172 cm) and have a tall torso and short legs, oh...
And i'm kinda fat, about 90-95 kg

Anyone on her have a tip?

Hehe, well i kinda painted myself into a corner here.
Bought a tiny car without checking first. And without a bucket i nearly fell over the transmission tunnel while trying to initiate the other day. I obviously kyled because i had to hold on to the steering wheel to not topple over :P

I just don't get why i can't find a fitting seat, i'm not that bloody fat, and there are loads of room for me in the car.

I used to be like that in my E30 with standard seats and belts, grabbing hold of the steering wheel for balance rather than steering.

MX5's are not that small, and I cannot imagine that there are no seats out there that fit you. I'm sure you will find something. I am sorry I can not be of any help.

I'm sure there is, but miata.net has a list of seats that fits. And so far none fit, or are to expensive or just crappy.
I might have found one in the states tho... Carbon fibre and pretty "cheap" too.

MX5's are an absolute sh!t to fit seats in, just like RX7's - you just cannot fit any buckets with wide shoulders in, as they foul the door cards, and anything with a wide base won't fit either.

Do they have to be full buckets? My other half's Eunos has DC2 recaros in it and we both rattel around in them - they're quite spacious. I think they're basically Recaro Speeds so if you raid an Evo scrappy you can get similar seats but in a variety of hideous fabrics, for a lot less money than a set of DC2's will cost you.

I have a motordrive fixed bucket seat. UK company, FIA approved and make basically the same seat in 4 sizes for different sized people. They will also do custom sized stuff if that range isnt enough (mine is a custom even fatter than the fattest one).
I think they have all the measurements on the site so you can compare the seat size to what space you have.
