s13 Turbo - Drifting forum

Hi all, ive just picked up an s13, mint condition but the turbo is nackered! Ive never had a turbo car before so not sure what to look out for. If the turbo is dead then is there a chance anything else would be damaged etc...and can anyone reccomend a replacement or is it best to stay standard?

Do a search fella..

S13 = T25 turbo..

T25 Turbo = Poo...

All S13s frick theyre T25s, its common, not very likely itd have damaged much else...

Replacement = Depending on your budget, T28 is most commong from S14/14a

if your looking for a cheap turbo mate then I suggest you get on egay.
If you eventualy get one, ask again how to fit and we will tel you!

sxoc is a very good place to find S13 T25 turbo's

and yes depending on when the turbo went it could have caused other damage .... when u say its knackered .. how knacked is it .. mines fricked but it still drives fine just makes noise and smokes a shit load when its idling .

DON'T buy cheap. Make sure its a genuine Garrett, there is a lot of cheap stuff on ebay which is not necessarily good. Make sure its a proper garrett. Budget about £200 for a tip top T28 or 100-150 for a good T25. They can be had for as little as £50 though if an older well used one will be good enough for you.

i have a cheap american turbo and would recomend it to anyone, less than 200 quid brand new and ive done over 4k miles at 350bhp on it, with not much leniancy for allowing it to cool after a ragging. im a bit harsh on it really but it loves it

for a quick upgrade mate i would go for an s14 turbo as they are a direct fit and allow up to 300bhp.

its going to be my toy! but still has to be road driveable as i havent got room for a trailer etc...cheers for the help guys, il post some pics up soon.

by my t25 for £150, its great, tiny bit of play

islander think 150 is a fair bit of a rape TBH mate . 150 will get u a T28 plus installation if u buy from bruno o

my T25 that is totally mint with no in and out play at all and not even 1mm play side to side was given to me for free... good T25's will be under 100 unless its a totally rebuilt by garret unit
