| tail slider | Just doing some searching and I ain't seen a thread with member's spec. lists on their own. I think it would be a good resource for any budding drifter to allow them to see what aftermarket parts are installed in everything from trampers to pro spec machines. I've done out a template and example to stick to; LEVEL: Pro CAR: 1997 Nissan Silvia S14 K's EXTERIOR: Vertex kit, Kouki lights etc. INTERIOR: Bride bucket seat, etc. ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN: RB25 engine, Nismo LSD etc. SUSPENSION: Tein coilovers, Cusco front strut brace etc. SAFETY: 6 pt. cage, fire extinguisher etc. BREAKS: Brembo.. Level - Pro -Shell- 1988 BMW e30 316 2 door shell, painted in Tetrosyl Silver-04 stripped out, interior painted hammerite black, engine bay painted hammerite white, custom box-section front slam panel and crossmember, bonnet and bootlid skinned, spare wheel well removed, box section rear chassis rail brace/crossmember welded in, EDC spec Chizfab rollcage with single drivers door bar, rear diagonal, and harness bar. -Engine- BMW 3.5 litre (m30b35) straight 6 engine from 735i, 225 bhp/215 lbft "e30.de" engine mounts for the conversion e28 535i radiator sierra cosworth twin electric fans e24 635i throttle cable e34 535i airbox with no filter custom 2-into-1 exhaust, standard e34 535i front section, extended to fit in transmission tunnel, then into a single 80mm pipe out of the rear quarter -Drivetrain- BMW 633csi 4 speed gearbox (old 5spd broke!), standard (new) LUK clutch, e36 328i propshaft Welded "big case" 325i touring differential, 3.91 ratio -Suspension/steering- Spax PSX adjustable dampers, no bump stops. Spax front springs, cut to -120mm Coilover rear springs in original seperate locations, cut to -120mm "Treehouse Racing" offset solid (nylon) wishbone bushes Custom (reduced negative camber) rear subframe Eccentric front top mounts for -1.25deg extra negative camber e36 steering rack fitted with Chizfab spacers for more lock, custom solid column PAS disabled and removed -Brakes- Standard 316 solid discs up front, drums in the back with new, reinforced brake shoes (last ones buckled) Rallydesign hydraulic handbrake fitted in place of standard cable handbrake. New hard brake lines throughout -Interior- 2x Sparco fibreglass bucket seats from 1995 1x 4pt black Driftworks FIA harness (driver) 1x 4pt red Willans FIA harness (passenger) Fake OMP dished suede steering wheel from ebay Heater removed, dashboard stripped down, all switches placed in centre area of dash Battery fitted in boot between wheel arches -Safety- Full BDC Pro/EDC safety spec Chizfab cage with Driftworks FIA rollcage padding 3 litre AFFF plumbed in extinguisher, nozzles in drivers footwell and engine bay pointing at fuel rail, pull cables in dash and external scuttle panel FIA cut off switch mounted in dash, pull cables on external scuttle panel -Wheels- 15x7 et25 BBS cross-spoke wheels, standard on e30s. 15x7 et19 generic 5 spoke wheels, fitted with 20mm spacers up front to clear chassis rails Other wheels of similar dimensions if necessary -Tyres- These are from tyre shop scrap piles -Misc- Tinted rear lights iS lip splitter smoked front indicators single headlight conversion black kidney grill single wiper conversion rear valance cut out between chassis rails Total cost including buying car.... £1800, less than most people's engines.
