First up, have some of these - ;;;;;,,,,,,......." " " " " "

Next, apparently they are rather good fun, but then they wouldnt be £4K if they werent .............

Finally, if you just want something that a laff and RWD I dont think you can go better than an old MX5 these days

back on topic, apparently 86's are fantastic but bear in mind you are paying a lot of "scene tax" on one. There are many cars as good as or better for cheaper imho

I wouldnt know much myself as i havent owned one but as i understand theyre rewarding cars but challenging to drift. I've driven two now and i loved both of them! If i had a spare 3kish it'd go on a Corolla!

i always thought it was so you can rev match so you dont get shift lock

sure there great, never driven one, but bear in mind a VERY large ammount of the price tag, is because theyre an icon, after they intial d films.

dont think theyll be the easiest/most powerfull cars for that price by any means.

that aside, at least there one car thats not likely to lose any value.

Which is essentially what I said , I'd hope most people try and match revs when they change down a gear anyway (unless they are trying to lock the wheels) regardless of whether they are heel toe-ing or not.

I have my levin for about 1,5 month and i have to say it's a fun car to drive.

Although you could get a more modern car for the money that you pay for a hachi.

@Geldy,if you really like an ae86 ,buy it. You won't regret it.

You don't get much car for your money, but it is nice simple basic rwd motoring.

Engine blew up on mine, make what you want out of that, they are fairly easy to work on and fix though being old.

Personally I would reccomend one, but just be careful and know what you might be getting yourself in for

Hehe, I don't think I said anything about where my preferences in motor sport lie, I just enjoy rwd cars like everyone else . I think if you look at my original post you'll see that I did indeed say that the car is loved by many which can't be a bad thing. Just that you pay a heavy premium simply because it is the "legendary" '86 corolla. If you have the money then go for it

they are great fun. you can heel toe like michael jackson to your hearts content if thats what floats ur boat but bottom line is they are crazily stupidly absolutely annoyingly addictive at times and will suck every last pound, penny and minute of you life away without consent!!
