Aaah young Quail, your like me, only last year. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drifting-chat/41629-drifting-pick-ups.html
the project that i am very slowly working on is a subaru pickup (mv1800 or brat in oz), now rwd with a welded diff, needs a bit more work then i may take it to pod for a laugh.
k-drift is building me a sweet e36 pick up. its going to be savage but if i could start again i wish id of just berought a p100/hilux or something similar
I saw a lad in a hilux perform accidental streeto once, the look on his face was priceless... I guess thats what happens when rich daddy buys you that as your first car!
shame they dont comply with BDC regs as i would have been using a mazda B series with a 13b in it of a D21 with an sr20 in it once the cef went .....
you've probably seen this already, but I kicked myself when I saw it! NEW!! 1jz/2jz Toyota truck swap kit for 86-94 2wd Trucks - SupraMania
iirc the vehicle has to be a monosomething shell and most pickups arent as the rear bed is sperate to the front cabin... only pickups i know that would comply are the holden maloo/monaro and the ford xr6 ones
Oh yeah the monocoque construction bit. Its so you don't get space-frame megadeath cars entering. But surely that would rule out the majority of old American cars aswell, with seperate body on ladder chassis. It needs to be revised though in my opinion, as pickups are badass - and hardly at an advantage to normal cars.
yeah thats the thing. I totally agree with you on they should be allowed , if the rules do get chanegd then im selling the skyline and getting a pick up... would work out so much easier to take everything u need in the back , plus the insurance would be a shti load cheaper
