there was on old video on here before of a s14 getting its arches flared diy stlye has anyone every tried tis and how did they turn out thinking of doing tis on my own car as outta work at min and cant afford to get them proberly flared im respraying the car myself so dont really mind if the paint chips off i just dont want to be left wit mad creases and arches full of filler pics please if at all possible
Use a hammer for the outer too, you hammer the inner arch up and out the way then hammer the outer arch. Rolling the arch with a scaffold bar etc is easy enough but generally the hammer is better and you can get a better curve.
I prefer the bar way. Ive done 2 cars like it now and they both come out pretty mint. Saying that I still pussied out and borrowed a roller to do my dailys arches. \/\/
haha my mk2 golf is on 13's, and i used a big ish hammer with lots of repititive hits and you get a pretty good flare out tbh, start higher up the work down the arch it becomes easier!!!!! now my golf is so low it can hit the floor on flat road lol but tyrs dont rub!!!!
u my good friend r a genuis gonna have a go at making something like tis later in week happy news coilovers eventually cameD:
you can use a bottle jack too for pretty good results. put the base of the jack against the inside of the car and pump the jack out to push the arch out, as a lot of pipe methods and hammers just push the lip up and not out. scaffold pipe does the job nicely too, plenty of heat on the arch helps make the job easier.
