Car's will fall off anything if not jacked up properly, like being jacked on an angle, jacked on a hill etc etc.

That's not really the point of this thread though, axle stands should be used once the car is jacked up.

I back up on blocks and jack from the diff but i still have to take off the bumper so sometimes i just pull the skirts off!!! Im thinking about welding in a brace under the tank that i can safely jack off.........i like to jack off safely!

Would this work?

Jord- Some cracking solutions on here to make it easy, mostly that super jack you suggested!

Chuck- Yeah I mention the brace a few times earlier in the thread, would deffo work between the places the stock towing eyes were fitted on the back.

Thing is, I KNEW you was saying that to wind me up, and that makes you no less the mouthy internet prick really does it.

In real life if you went up and said all that to a stranger, joking or not, chances are youd be on your arse right now, so whats the difference on the net? In how rude you are- Nothing. But on the net you can be any old nasty prick acting big and you got nothing to worry about any comeback.

Just pathetic cowardly stuff giving it loads on the internet, "joke" or not, which chafes my ass.

I used to jack on my diff, but the panhard has put a stop to that. All the ramps in the world won't help that.

For now I'm jacking from the frame rails doing each side one at a time. What would probably be helpful is something mounted like a trailer hitch right at the back. I like the BMW idea and I think something could be welded into a car to make it work, hopefully past the gas tank.

For the front though it's just an all around pain in the ass. I have to get someone to pull on the wheel well. I hope someone can chime in on it as I have no idea where I can even jack from.

wtf?!

this thread is soo gay!

i have jacked up EVERY SINGLE CAR ive ever owned on the diff.

in fact i dont think theres many days in the last year i havnt had it jacked up on the diff for one reason or another.

so does everyone i know in drifting, personaly ive probably done it a thousand times! and never ever, has it fallen on me, or cracked

its solid metal. fuck knows how you could crack it with a jack?!

im amazed this is 4 pages.

blocks of wood, drive onto, put jack on diff, jack up. im yet to see a single car where that is not possible

wood definately works, like the awesome diagram that bladey did, i just didnt bolt them together, stack as much as fits under, drive on them, get out, put more under, then jack it up, it was a proper ball ache tbh, but I always managed, amd it was pretty frickin low, like 2 fingers low for the most part.

Errr shhhh, jacking the car up incorrectly was the cause of that by the sound of it, it didn't just fall off because it was on the diff...

I've been doing it for 3 years and if you do it properly it's not a problem...
