Unfortunately badly enough to take both Stig and Luke out of the comp which was a kick in the bollox as they were both on form out there and the crowd eating out of their tailpipe

Snapped hub on the starlet was i think what ended the night early for them, was a bit bashed up too but looked fixable.

Such a shame about Nathan's car fair play, he was going in quick.

Mighty was taken out due to a bent half-shaft the damage to the car isnt to bad is fixable , me and the stig are gona spend an afternoon and eve and maybe night on it tomorow at a mates body shop to try and pull the b post straight again which shouldnt be to hard. The impact on the mighty wasnt too big so she should all be up n ready for the weekend at t-side, was a real shame cos Luke was realy flying, and the stig too, best ive seen him drive for ages, our tricks for grip seem to have worked too.

Also full credit to luke was a totaly un-avoidable, and hes helped us out to get her repaired too

ps, thas me and the stig running on the track at the end of the vid

I have to say, that was a pretty nasty crash - really thought the S14 was going over for a second, as long as the driver was ok thats the main thing. Real shame about Luke and Stiggy as well as both of them were awesomely entertaining all afternoon, I suppose its one of those things though! Really hope the Starlet gets sorted!

Without means for debate or arguement I have to say that the venue although last minute was asking for some crashes.. it was a superb event but a very disappointing venue. Primarily the size and the surface were both poor, drivers did really really well considering as it looked really sketchy in practice.

As for the Ultralite wheel... you get what you pay for...

Any wheel bar a steel one would have done the same , maybe a BBS or similar would have squashed cos its more ally in the alloy , but nothing's gonna withstand that.

Glad to see Nathan and Luke both safe though.

The more of the impact the wheel absorbs, the less your chassis does. Cant imagine many wheels would have survived that.

i had a quick look and it appeard to be an lsx engine. basically the supercharged monaro lump.

such a shame to see this happen but it was inevitable that something was going to go wrong on that track

Was a nasty crash. Anyone else (who was there) think the fire crew took the piss in how long it took them to turn up?
