Well progress on the KE70 has picked up this week since leaving it for 2 months! :)

Finished preping the underside of the car for painting and will be finishing off the engine bay one night this week to primer before weeked.

Also, will take the axel of my AE86 to clean up and apply to the ke70 so I can get the rear rolling and add my wheels and get my arch roler out to flare em out for my 14x8 -12 SSr mesh. But thoughts Id see how they might look come the weekend....

Note: the wheels will prob stick out further but this was without the axel but thats the sort of ride hieght I am after.

opinions please as Im not sure if I like these rims and might sell...

Loads of cold nights on my back with a drill and a wire wheel. :( Hated it!

takes time etc, but I wanted all the rust gone (not that most of it was bad really).

Its worth it though now its done.

Oh and I was going to spry the car underneath the same colour as the car and with gloss etc but i cant bare to think of driving it like that (incase it got scratched/chipped etc as I still woul like to use it hard) so its just going stonechop black now to save hassle in the future.

I dont want the car done until April anyway so im just taking my time.

And before anyone says anything about 'its a drift car though!', its not, its not a 'Drift car' it my car and the most it will see of drifting is a bit of tame streeto and the odd practice day.

Will buy a Shitbox in the future but now all my money and time is in this.

    :D

and its staying like this inside too.

OMG, stop posting before I sell the R32 for one of these. That interior looks lush. I love old school retro style interiors, infact anything retro is cool as.

    Love it.

    Cheers dudes :D

Im really happy I can start to really motor on with my project as I have sold all my ae86 parts I dont need so with the cash etc I ca pump into this!

I didnt want to start striping the ae86 without knowing someone was actually going to buy the car first as I didnt want a un rollable shell hanging around etc.

but all thats sorted so, rear axel will be off this weekend, repained and puton the the KE and I can see exactly how far out the wheels will sit, and I think it will be further than the above photos! :D Good job I bought that arch roller! :)

    I like it a lot :D

Good luck putting it all together :D That underside is gorgeous, any techniques or literally just nailing it with the wire wheel, turning the bristles around then hitting it some more on big bad rpm's getting caked in shit?

Have i seen that car somewhere before? :wack:

I do love the old KE's! Strange isnt it really, as most "normal" people would hate it

Its amazing what a set of wheels can do to a car.

    nice, adam!!

my 15x8j -15 xr-4's stick out like a bitch on the rear. the rim itself maybe 20mm.

but my 15x7.5j +8 watanabes are nice and flush.

hey get a pic of the rear with MAD camber. since we will never see that.

Yeah, meaga tough wire whel on grinder first. Just hold on, get covered in shit and lose hearing.

Then for the finer parts wire wheels of different shapes/sizes etc.

Id say you could do it all in a day but you would need a spit as I just hated lying on my back so I spent alot of time resting my arms or on the phone. Im very lazy!!

It will all be worth it esp no I can crack on with it.

I hope the 14x8 will lok good when on though as I passed up a set of 14x8.5 you see. :(
