Introducing Driftworks Drift Practice at Drift Central

We at Driftworks are very proud to be a part of something that we feel is going to help the European Drifting scene grow exponentially.
As part of Drift Central, we will be holding these practice days throughout the year where we hope to offer serious amounts of seat time by using multiple track layouts. We'll also be on hand at these days to offer Drifting and car setup advice.

7 dates are available to purchase here in our webshop

http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/ca...-practice.html

As most of you know, we've been a part of drifting for a very long time, and as a major part of the community, we feel we have a good grasp of the positive and negative aspects of existing drift practice days. Our Drift practice days are supported by many key members of the community, and out goal is to provide a very professionally run day with a friendly, exciting and safe atmosphere.

These days are suitable for anyone in their own rear wheel drive car. Perfect to hone your drifting skills from first timer to Pro-Am competition drifter.

Days start at 10:30am and finish at 4:30pm

What you need to bring:
  • Your RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) car. Preferably with some sort of LSD (Limited Slip Differential).
  • A helmet.
  • Some Spare tyres. Of course remembering to keep a set of legal tyres aside to drive home on
Front Wheel Drive, 4 Wheel Drive, and bikes are not allowed, sorry.

Drift Central located in the East Midlands, right next door to Donington Park. It is the largest venue we have seen used for Drifting in the UK, with multiple track layout possibilities ranging from 5mph basic car control, to 4th gear 100+mph drifting. All on a high quality tarmac surface.

Here is an overview of the facility, on it there are numbers and the numbers correspond to the photographs below, the direction of the arrow shows the direction from which the photograph has been taken, click thumbnail for larger view. Many thanks to Glen at Drift Central for taking these photographs.

If you have any questions about our Drift practice days, feel free to ask on the forum here, or use the contact us form to send an email and we'll get straight back to you.

For more information on the venue, who's involved in Drift Central and for Rookie Drift experience days, check out the Drift Central website

Thanks

The DW Team

The fantastic thing about this venue is that we could have a 100 people and you'd still get a huuuuuuge amount of track time.. We will be restricting it for the first event so we can gauge what's a decent figure.. I imagine around 50 would work fine.

Bloodyhell, just looked with Google Earth at it, can see how big it is, and also how bizzare I never knew that place existed, considering its been right under our noses so many times

The track bits seem about 1.5times wider than donny circuit, and the big open tarmac bits are between about 4 and 8 times wider than the track, and even 1.5times wider than East Midlands Airports runway

Good shit right there
