on roadster drift theres a link to a dodgy knuckle drilling mod.

Or a guy on there sells cut down and welded ones... (don't know if it's cost effective though, as it will need to be shipped from da US of A)

The only other thing iv'e seen is jamie k's build on mx5nutz.com that shows some kind of fancy thing for elongating your track rods.

Sorry for the vagueness, but it should get you going.

As said by Budget, you can either modify your knuckles along with seeltuned tie rods. These are the tie rods that Jamie is running. You can also find these via roadsterdrift. Failing that, just use some tie rod collars. If you run too much lock on a standard power output mx5 you will vitually come to a stop when you get it that bit more sideways.

yeah i know about the coming to a stop....lol, its just the car sits really nice bang on full lock just could do with a tad more for the recovery or when i hit a slippery patch halfway i have nothing to counteract the extra angle.
Cheers for your help people!!!!

The trackrod end are well worth the cash but be warned, if your running PAS the extra travel will kill your seals and the PAS will become useless. On top of that there is the usual problem with the fluid boiling on mx5's. So i ditched it and it feels much better. I bought them on roadster drift so its well worth signing up and checking it out.

I'm considering a tiny bit of extra lock too when I get the power, did you just remove the pump to loose your pas? And loop the pipes? Or?

How's arch clearence for you?

I found just disconnecting the pipes on the pas rack was ok, not hard to turn when moving, tho with welded diff and no pas can get harder when parking bt still ok really. Im goin to try the modded knuckles soon, just gonna get a spare pair and cut them down. Hope fully i will have good lock soon, got 3mm spacers to tie rods and et15 wheels so should be a good result
ill be at oulton on the 27th matt so u can see how it goes

Im just gonna buy some spare knuckles and cut n weld em, the roadster drift ones are a bit much with shipping to the uk, ill need bigger front brakes to get max lock tho, already lookex at it and the caliper is the first thing to hit the coilover, also gonna fit extra spacers to take wheels to et20 for a bit more clearance, dont know bout moving the rack back a bit aswell yet, ill have to see how much lock can be made.
Has anyone tried the ebay camber arms yet? Any good ?

Think i might get some of those knuckles for mine.
Got some 0 offset wheels now!! More lock please!!!

Getting these on this weekend if my tyres come.

Just seen the ebay camber arms, i might buy them because the upper ball joints on mine have seen better days. They are the only suspension bit thats not new on my car apart from arb's.
Doing this means i only have to strip supension down once and fitting everything.

Hey maybe driftworks should make these bits as there is a few of us that want them!!!

Well i have ordered the Knuckles from roadster drift. Hopefully arive by the end of next week.
Dont think i will get the adjustable camber arms as i dont think i will need that level of adjustment. Would like the FM v8 arms but the price is unrealistic.

This threads great, I'm lost when it comes to steering mods! I want to get some knuckles modded but have no idea where to start! Only want a small bit of extra lock for now as I'm on standard powers. Just find I was hitting the full lock a lot at norfolk and could do with a lil bit more to play with..

Just signed up on roadter drift so ill have a read through and see what I can learn .

I would mod the knuckles myself because i am a welder for a living, but i cant be arsed. When i get them i might make a jig around them to make some more.
Went to fit my wheels today but i need some slim wheel nuts!!! Original are too big. Sometimes i really hate cars! The easiest jobs always turn out to be a bitch lately.
My fault really for not checking, should of looked during the week then i could of ordered some.
