GROUP BUY! Introducing SPEC clutches!!

After many years of using and abusing clutches and testing the various different types, we've finally found what we feel are the best clutches on the market today. As a result we're offering you all an introductory group buy for our new SPEC Clutches!!

After testing a SPEC Stage 3+ in my 560bhp Toyota Chaser, we've decided they're *the* clutch to have. As a result we've done a deal with SPEC to bring over a load of their awesome clutches.

We've got two stages of clutch coming over, the first is the SPEC Stage 2, which is designed as a more durable and abuse resistant alternative to a traditional organic clutch. Featuring a pure kevlar full faced sprung disc and uprated pressure plate, they drive just like a stock organic clutch but due to being made of more advanced materials they deal with the heat generated by abusive driving, drag launches, drifting etc much much better. Where a normal organic would overheat and fall apart, the Stage 2 just deals with it, due to this superior heat handling of kevlar the wear level is much lower than that of an organic too, so it'll last!!

The next is the Stage 3+, as far as I'm concerned this is the ultimate single disc original fitment clutch available on the market, and is what I run in my car with 500lb/ft of torque and 560bhp, with 265 Federal trackday tyres on the rear...!!! :whip: Basically it's a full faced carbon metallic friction plate with a highly uprated pressure plate. The carbon metallic material is similar to that used in a traditional puck clutch, but being a full faced design it takes SERIOUS abuse. Where with a puck clutch you can't slip them for fear of damage, with this clutch you can slip, kick, etc the clutch and it'll be completely happy with it. Again because it's a full faced design, it'll deal with heat just fine, so as long as it's bedded in properly it should be able to take all the abuse you can throw at it. Also down the full faced design, it's still a completely driveable clutch, my Chaser is 100% fine for street use in stop-start traffic, the clutch is very very sharp if you let off it quickly, but you can still modulate it like a normal organic. The friction discs are sprung, again helping daily driveability and making them a bit more friendly to the transmission in general.

I'd recommend stage 2 for standard to mid-level modified engines, for example an SR20DET with all the bolt on modifications and a GT28RS level turbo, running around the 350-400bhp level. Or a CA18DET with turbo, injectors, intercooler, fuel pump, exhaust, etc etc running 300bhp.

Stage 3+ is for any level of car really, still being driveable for the road. It'll take huge amounts of power, in an SR basically taking all the power an SR can throw at it, 600bhp should be ok for example. The idea is with this clutch, you can really really abuse it, ideal for drag launches and drifting use. If your car likes to kill clutches then this is the one for you!!

All the kits come with new release and spigot bearing and an alignment tool.

We'll be getting Stage 2 & 3+ in the following fitments.

SR20DET
Stage 2 - 380lb/ft torque
Stage 3+ - 540lb/ft torque

RB20/25DET
Stage 2 - 395lb/ft torque
Stage 3+ - 550lb/ft torque

CA18DET
Stage 2 - 300lb/ft torque
Stage 3+ - 450lb/ft torque

1JZ (5 speed)
Stage 2 - 460lb/ft torque
Stage 3+ - 620lb/ft torque

Retail pricing will be...

Stage 2:
SR20DET & RB20/25DET - £305
CA18DET - £255
1JZGTE - £355

Stage 3+:
SR20DET & RB20/25DET - £395
CA18DET - £450
1JZGTE - £495

We'll be doing a special combined clutch and flywheel package price, where you can get our chromoly flywheel for £200 when bought with a clutch. We'll also be offering flywheels for SR20DET and 1JZGTE for the same price. This counts for RRP and for the group buy, when bought with a clutch you can get a flywheel for only £200!!

As a group buy we have the following prices:

Kind of.... there is a stage 1 kit, but there's so little difference in the price, you may as well go straight for stage 2.

Photos are on the way

I ran a spec 2+ on my 370bhp daily and it felt oem apart from being a little more grabby in traffic but you can't have everything, brilliant clutch at a brilliant price

Good timing! My clutch has started slipping a bit with my new powaz!

Although not sure it will last until the end of May, when will you be getting stock in outside of the group buy?

Oh and driftescort, they're currently on the way to us, as soon as I know an ETA (should be a couple of weeks tops) then it'll be the RRP in the listings above.
