What's a half decent cheap clutch for drifting?

My clutch needs changing on my S13. I can't afford a expensive one so was wondering if there if a cheap alternative that will take some drift days. It's running stage 2 if that helps.

XTD stage 3 sprung clutch with 6 puck ceramic disk. ebay at us&a will be your best friend. 180usd + shipping. it's the best bang for the buck for the entry level drifting/street usage.

couple of my friends are using it on ca18 and sr20 engines. 200-350hp range and it handles just fine.
just refurbish your flywheel, degrease everything, adjust your clutch and it will hold properly.

stock doesn't like high rpm clutch kicks, my organic disc went out after one year of drift day abuse. ceramic disc has better initial bite so less slip means less clutch/pressure plate wear. and xtd stg3 are pretty cheap, i think you can get it shipped and taxed under 200gbp.

I dont think a stock clutch will be ok for stage 2, i've had a standard clutch for 2 years in my s14, done more clutch kicks than i can remember and it's ok but thats only on standard power. Stage 2 i'd recommend getting a better clutch, i've heard good things about ACT clutches.

Being tight assed on a clutch is a waste of time. It will just die an early death and your be having the pull the box off and forking out for a decent one that you should have bought in the first place. ACT, RPS, SPEC are all good clutches at around 300-400. I had a ACT HD organic in my s14 @ 300hp for a good 3 years then sold it to a mate when i upgraded and hes been using it for over a year now with not a wiff of trouble.

RPS had some quality issues that they didnt resolve last year, Im not even sure there is a UK importer anymore, ACT and SPEC are good though. I think Ive got an Exedy on my S13 and a spec on the onevia, both are nice

    Exedy.

Spend your money on a good clutch, lot of shite about.
We have never had a single faulty Exedy, and sold lots of them

Pedal doesn't go heavy, come with a release bearing too.

    Speaker of truth.

I have used mine bought from here for over a year now and seen a few drift days without issue. very happy with them for the money and will buy again.I'm running stock power on an s14 though

My first S13 had a stock clutch in it for 2 years at stage 2. Killed it in my first round of competition though! I then fitted an RPS which was good.

Also had 2 Exedy organic clutches in 2 S14's, both of which have been great. Good feel and great bite, without being harder to drive or excessively heavy.

i like the way people can tell him a standard clutch wont handle stage 2 power when it doesent even say what engine it is.

if its a CA then i did about 20/30k @ stage 2 power on a luk replacment clutch thats daily driving with the odd streeto and doing santa pod shows every other weekend.

as always, advice is worth what you pay for it.
